I think perhaps the barely-hid to naked racial bigotry on many of the Katrina threads has caused one or more of my FRiends to quit FreeRepublic.
I'm trying to get them to come here to this, OUR nook, so we can talk without racist f*cktards getting underfoot.

The thread "WE SHUT DOWN THE BRIDGE" shocked us all, and it has been the "last straw" for rdb3 and perhaps mhking, if I'm correct.
Oh, THAT. I had been hearing rumours and murmurings of racist comments oozing to the surface. Were the perps duly zotted and told not to let the door hit them on the way out? Racist b*stards.
It did bring out the nasty in some people...
Say it ain't so! rdb3 and mhking are some of my favourite freepers. I hope that they return. I enjoyed their wit, insight, and good humour.
That sucks even more. I didn't read that thread. I got tired of people thinking all brownskinned people in NO were crackdealers or welfare mommas, so I gave up reading a bunch of threads.
Made me mad, cause I spent nearly 10 years helping inner city people get through college courses, and I resent the tarring and feathering of people like that...And they've been badmouthing a place with warts, but wonders, than I lived in for 28 years...

I have commanded my VCR to watch shows for me in the past, and it simply will not give me the reports about their contents.
I think it's defective. Probably made by the same blankety-blank company that made my blankety-blank answering machine. I haven't gotten one answer out of that sucker in three years, no matter how I frame the question!
I don't know what ever possessed me to think that a machine could give answers, anyway. I'm going back to my eight-ball -- at least its answers were consistently wrong.
