It won't help.

I have commanded my VCR to watch shows for me in the past, and it simply will not give me the reports about their contents.

I think it's defective. Probably made by the same blankety-blank company that made my blankety-blank answering machine. I haven't gotten one answer out of that sucker in three years, no matter how I frame the question!

I don't know what ever possessed me to think that a machine could give answers, anyway. I'm going back to my eight-ball -- at least its answers were consistently wrong.
