Tancredo makes 'dent' in N.H.

Presidential poll gives Colo. congressman 1%

WASHINGTON - It's official: Rep. Tom Tancredo is a blip on the 2008 presidential radar.

Tom Tancredo's name was misspelled on survey group's Web site.

A new poll shows Tancredo, a Littleton Republican, pulling 1 percent of the vote in New Hampshire, home of the traditional first-in-the-nation presidential primary election.

American Research Group Inc. surveyed 600 likely Republican primary voters - including 433 Republicans and 167 undeclared voters - from Aug. 5 to 7.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., led with 39 percent, followed by "undecided" at 32 percent. Among others: former House Speaker Newt Gingrich of Georgia drew 14 percent; Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, 8 percent; Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee, 5 percent; and Tancredo was tied with Sen. George Allen of Virginia, at 1 percent.

Three other possible contenders - Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, and Sens. Sam Brownback of Kansas and Chuck Hagel of Nebraska - did not register any support.

Tancredo has been testing the waters in New Hampshire, Iowa and South Carolina, saying he hopes to pressure bigger-name candidates to take up his crusade against illegal immigration.

The poll reveals a name recognition issue Tancredo must overcome. His name was spelled incorrectly (as "Tancrado") on the survey group's Web site, www.ameri canresearchgroup.com.

"We've got a phonetics issue I guess," Tancredo spokesman Will Adams joked. "In any case, he has made a dent in New Hampshire. For a congressman from suburban Colorado, it's a small step but a first step."

Tancredo received less than half of 1 percent support in a survey of 600 likely Republican primary voters in neighboring Massachusetts, where McCain led the field with 46 percent.

"us" as in Republican. When Republicans speak of Republicans we speak in the first person. When Americans speak of Americans we speak in the first person. When Christians speak of Christians we speak in the first person.

It's a dead give away when you third party type pretend to be Republicans but refer to us in the third person. You're probably just so used to it you don't recognize how obvious it is.

The fact that you and the other Antis never post any articles or comments favorable to the Republican party is another obvious clue that you are not Republicans.

We've gotten by just fine without you so far, so don't think that your threats to vote for Hillary cause us to lose any sleep.

Bayourod quote-(#206) Bookmark it everyone:
"Your guess is as good as mine. I don't speak three words of Spanish."

Well, how about that, Bayourod finally admits it.
After hundreds of posts of Bayourod bragging about how much he cares about Hispanics, and all of the many Hispanics he has hired over the years in his restaurant and other businesses; yet he "don't speak three words of Spanish."

Tell me Bayourod: how is it that an employer of Hispanics has never bothered to learn to say: please, thank you, hello, goodbye, excuse me, I'm sorry, in Spanish?
It seems to me that ANY employer of Hispanics with even half a brain, or any decency at all would take the trouble to learn a few words of courtesy for his employees.

Eh?

But after all your claims to care so much for Hispanics, you haven't troubled yourself to learn even "three words of Spanish"

So, you are either one cold hearted, uncaring A-Hole, or you are a fraud, a "farsante" and a "mentiroso".

Which is it Bayourod?

I believe you are the latter. I've got your number, Amigo.

Adios.

Bayourod also discussed once that he didn't check the immigration status of his employees, and then later chastized me for making stuff up when I mentioned that he benefitted from illegal immigration personally.

Rod, what an appropriate name.

" after all your claims to care so much for Hispanics"

Show where I have ever claimed to "care so much of Hispanics". Show some of my posts that have said that.

I have never made such a claim, and in fact have stated that I have no especial affinity for Hispanics.

I care for our economy and I recognize that our economy is dependent upon foreign workers because we have limited our birth rate, including aborting 45 million American workers since Roe v. Wade.

To recognize that foreign workers are doing jobs that otherwise there would be no one to do is not the same as "caring so much for Hispanics."

To recognize that fresh fruits and vegetables will rot in the fields without migrant farm workers is not the same as "caring so much for them."

You and your ping list buddies are the ones who view the immigration issue from an emotional perspective instead of a logical one based upon sound facts.

"all of the many Hispanics he has hired over the years in his restaurant and other businesses; "

Again, I have never claimed to have hired numerous Hispanics in any business. I've never discriminated in hiring and I've made it clear that I have never hired any illegals. Please show me a post where I have claimed to have hired "all the many Hispanics".

Once again the anti-illegals crowd has to respond with personal attacks because facts, logic and reasoning are not on their side.

I stated numerous times that I have never employed an illegal alien. The fact that I haven't check with INS or CBP or whoever one checks with does not mean that I have hired illegals. I have never had any reason to suspect that any person I have ever hired was illegal.

Every person I have hired has provided Social Security, driver's license and insurance information. I have never had any reason to suspect that any documents have been forged.

Have you ever asked INS or CBP to check your employees IDs to verify that they aren't forgeries? Have your employers run an immigration background investigation on you everytime you have been hired?

There's a reason the anti-illegals crowd can only resort to personal insults; that's because facts and reasoning are not their friends.

I can't wait until the third party presidential debates in 2008 when someone presents facts to disprove Tancredo's myths and he responds by accusing them of being "illegal immigrant lovers" or some other childish personal insult.

Then it's rude of you to interject yourself into our business. We don't need or care for your advice or opinions.

This is true. In fact, you actually stated that you have no close Hispanic friends. How did you manage to accomplish this amazing feat in a city where 40 percent of the population is Hispanic?

Why must they be illegal, bayourod? Why is it you seem to think only illegal immigrants will pick fruit? They can get in line, come in legally, and do whatever job it is they want to do. The fact probably is, you have a different motive other than our economy (which would not collapse on to itself without illegal aliens.) Why else do you think these people should have no respect for our laws or our borders?

Once again the anti-illegals crowd...

Yes, we are anti-illegals, which is also anti-crime. Hats off to you for finally stopping with your usual rhetoric of "anti-immigrant," which you and I both know you don't really believe.

"Who is "we?"

"We" are Republicans. Perhaps you are unaware that each state defines party membership. It's not just something where you wake up each day and flip a coin to decide which party you are going to be a member of that day. (Although Buchanan and some third party people try to make people believe that they can participate in Republican party activities such as primary elections and still be a member of their third party.)

Too many people have no understanding of the role that political parties play in electoral politics. They think it's the government running everything. They think those election clerks are government employees instead of party employees. They think that they can sign just any type candidate petition they want and not have it disqualified on the grounds of party membership.

In 1980 the Texas government (100% of whom were Democrat) tried to stop us from selecting our national delegates by primary instead of caucus as the Democrats were doing and as state law was designed to accommodate. The only reason Reagan got the nomination in 1980 was because we told the Democrats and Texas government to stay out of our private business. And I don't mind telling other people the same thing.
