Atta Boy, Democrats
Investor's Business Daily ^ | August 12, 2005

Posted on 08/12/2005 1:52:08 PM PDT by george76

National Security: The knowledge that Mohammed Atta was affiliated with al-Qaida was known at least a year before Sept. 11, but political correctness and walls between agencies built by Democrats kept it a secret.

Curt Weldon, R-Pa..."Two weeks after 9-11, my friends from the Army's information dominance center, in cooperation with special ops, brought me...this chart of al-Qaida...Mohammed Atta."

Lee Hamilton, co-chair of the 9-11 commission, said the commission "did not learn of any U.S. government knowledge prior to 9-11 of surveillance of Mohammed Atta or of his cell . . . Had we learned of it, obviously it would've been a major focus of our investigation."

But they did learn of it. The New York Times reports that the 9-11 commission staff had the Able Danger data...

Commission staffers plan a trip to the National Archives to retrieve their notes on Able Danger's findings...where Clinton National Security Adviser Sandy Berger was caught stuffing classified documents about terrorist threats down his pants, presumably to remove them from public scrutiny.

And this is the same commission that included Jamie Gorelick, a deputy attorney general in the Clinton Justice Department...architect of the wall between intel and law enforcement, making "connecting the dots" before 9-11 a virtual impossibility.

..."single greatest structural cause" for 9-11, which was "the wall that segregated criminal investigators and intelligence agents."

...Maybe the focus will shift from how George Bush could have prevented 9-11 in his eight months in office to what Bill Clinton failed to do in eight years.

And maybe...the whiners who fight — on fears that swat teams will descend on public libraries — renewal of the Patriot Act to prevent the next Atta from flying a plane into a building, will just shut up, let us collect the dots and connect them.

Pretty sad when that is the truth about the media that is supposed to look out for us.

The media has no interest in looking out for you. Don't let their perception of altruism taint your view of their purpose. When push comes to shove, it's about the bottom line. And it is my opinion that it would be in their interest to actually seek the truth rather than spin. But that's just the Capitalist in me.

"...the excuse is they were told "after the report" was at the printers"

And the dog ate their homework. How believable is that, and couldn't they have added an extra section to the report.

Thank you. I couldn't find a picture of Mr. Laudermat to post. He was quite a cleaner. :-)

I knew it looked funny when I glanced at it but I was in a hurry so I posted away.

Tom Kean made it very clear that people are to stay OUT of the Commission's business! If you post any more articles that are critical of anyone on the Commission then you are going to make Tom very angry!

Consider yourself warned.

We didn't need 9/11 to show us that Clinton and his Justice department policies kill Americans his actions in Idaho and Texas already proved that.

I haven't given an FR opinion on his yet, I was fearful to comment on newsmax and WND commentary. If IBD is seriously covering the "Able Danger" line of inquiry, and the AP and dozens others are following it now also, I want to speak what I see as an obvious truth.

If Jamie Gorelick isn't immediately removed from the 911 commission, by any means necessary, the other commissioners who don't demand her removal have lost all credibility to me, and to the public as a whole who are following such things.

The conflict of interest, the ethical violations of a lawyer to continue on a panel where she is a person of interest, the very fact that the entire bullshit that was paraded in front of the American people in our Capitol was all show and no substance, that this show was made partisan to save the careers of politicians, while the memories and lost lives of my high school acquaintances, mt friend's brother, my college professor, and my father's business associates were completed disrespected in the most vulgar and disgusting display of coordinated Machiavellian demagoguery we've seen in this country for generations.

If the so called Republicans on the 9/11 commission don't demand the immediate removal, castigation, and ostracization of Jamie Gorelick, they will go down in history as the equivalent of passive fools on the McCarthy era HUAAC who allowed through their omission of action, McCarthy to run rampant over our country.

There are enough people, with enough power money and influence within the NYC metro area who lost loved ones in 9/11, that will continue to demand a full accountability of the government's actions and inactions that led to 9/11, without the Beltway whitewashing and bureaucratic obfuscation. If the Democrats from the Beltway continue to obfuscate and obstruct, they will destroy the Democrat party in the NYC metro area, forever.

To: Past Your Eyes

Right, let me add that there is probably only one way for Republicans to tackle this issue, Republicans from outside the liberal Republican northeast need to push full speed ahead, deaf to any media or internecine criticism, pushing as hard as necessary, to the point where Kean and others threaten to resign from the 9/11 commission, if anything of substance is going to come of this.

If these allegations are proven, there is one possible route for republicans to take, a direct attack at the current corporate media that doesn't properly focus their attention to this turn of events, with a proper critical eye towards watchdog status over the events.

Not only should Republicans attack Gorelick at press conferences, the spokesmen should attack the correspondents at each and every press conference. Republicans in office should boycott the media, and move directly to the constituents, donors and lobbying community.

Let the 90%+ Democrat media drift in the wind. Less and less Americans will listen to their partisan drivel, causing them to increase the shrill and ludicrious attacks and partisanship, causing less and less Americans to believe them.

If there was ever an item to check the power of the 90%+ Democrat media, this is it.

Well, this certainly explains what interesting papers Berger was stuffing into his pants, doesn't it.

Nice try Sandy. Unfortunately for the Clintonistas, truth does tend to find it's way out.

I agreed with all the rest of your posts except the above, and there was a time not long ago when I would have agreed with that too because our fifth column media, academia, etc have pretty successfully stifled the truth about the McCarthy era.

Most people have never even heard of the Venona transcripts. You might want to take a look at Ann Coulter's book Treason where she documents exactly what really went down at that time.

The main difference between those you regard as passive fools who let McCarthy run rampant and the active Quislings on the 9/11 Committee and in the media is that McCarthy was RIGHT. There were (and are) traitorous enemies of our country in high positions. You have identified some of them yourself.

Whether you love or hate McCarthy's style, he and his supporters were working to save and protect the USA. The Quislings on the 9/11 Committee are working to save and protect the enemies of the USA--IMO.
