I'd laugh at your joke if I weren't so tempted to cry.....the pointy-headed elitists running my alma mater, Texas Tech, tried to remove the cotton bolls from the university seal a few months ago for what I suspect is precisely this reason.........the chancellor came close to being tarred and feathered (except instead of feathers, cotton would've been used).

Next year it will probably be the Polyester Bowl. Oh wait, they use Oil, probably found by Haliburton, to make that stuff. Maybe the the Rayon Bowl? No wait, at least at one time, wood from trees was used to make Rayon?
