The Farce That Was the 911 Commission
August 11, 2005 | Stan25

Posted on 08/12/2005 8:19:04 AM PDT by stan_25

I have been watching the news for the last two days and I am getting totally steamed about what the 911 Commission did and did not do.

Let me enumerated what the so-called Commission did.

• Put the very person that had most to hide on the Commission, so that she could bamboozle the rest of the Commissioners

• Started the proceedings by bashing the Bush Administration, by saying that if the Bush people had been on the ball. 911 would not have happened.

• Got two of the most ardent Bush haters to tell how they were not listened to by Condi Rice and the rest of the NSC staff, so they could sell their books.

Here are the things that the 911 Commission didn’t do

• Place the blame squarely on the shoulders of the real culprits of the atrocity of the attack.

• Censure some of their own members for the blatant bias that was prevalant throuhout the proceedings.

• Put everything into the report that was supposed be the definitive tell all narriative.

The 911 Commission had a political axe to grind from day one and this showed all through the proceedings, especially from the Democratic members of the panel. It got so bad that even the Congress had to intervene to keep the Commission on track.

Now we find out that the staff of the Commission deliberatly kept things, that were not politically correct, away from the eyes of the Commissioners, who weren’t the right people. I’ll bet that Jamie Gorelick saw every one of those files and she is the one that said to hide these files.

What files am I talking about? Why the files that proved that the Clinton Administration knew about Mohammad Atta and his fellow hijackers and did nothing to nip their plans in the bud. You can be sure that Gorelick knew that these guys were terrorists and were in this country illegally. Kind of makes one wonder what “Socks” Sandy Burglar was really up to when he stole those papers from the National Archives.

Now the excrement has really hit the fan and the political hacks that were the 911 Commission are strangly quiet. It took an act of a very couragous Congressman from Pennsylvania to raise the roof on what the Commission deliberatly omitted and was hoping that no one would find out what the hell was really going on.

As you can imagine, the Clintonistas are starting to circle the wagons around Hillary. They don’t want have someone upsetting the apple cart and bring down their best hope of regaining the White House.

Where are the mothers of those who were killed on 9/11 asking for a special meeting with Clinton so he can explain to them why they died?

The Farce That Was the 911 Commission

Gee, ya think?

All you have to recall is Lee Hamilton & Bob Kerry. They wanted to meet with the President to discuss 9/11 at all costs, it was of the utmost importantance they told the country.

Then, when they were told no media would be allowed....all of a sudden Kerry had a meeting with the Ambassador of Canada and had to leave after 15 minutes.

Yeah, there's a grand career move, blow off the President of The United States for an Ambassador.

So, I ask you....how important WAS the 9/11 commission?

What I cannot forgive, really. . .and as well; GW praising these 'fools-for-hire and their patriotic efforts. Well beyond the call of duty, Repubs go; but aside from the niceties. . .what really gave way here and why. . .

. . .I mean not just a few soft punches given here; but rather. . GW took it between the eyes for 9/11 and is still paying; because he said just said 'thanks'. . .

In light of this intelligence data I find it amazing that people actually still look at people that claim the govenment knew 9-11 was going to happen as if they have a third eye.

Very good summation. They had well placed 'fixers' in the 911 commision and they followed their marching orders.

There are always certain constants that emerge in the actions of those on the left.

THey will do ANYTHING to protect/further their agenda, it's always political for them. Power is the ultimate goal.

More often than not what suffers is the safety of the nation, why?

Quite simply, the left sees no value in preserving the USA, unlike those that put their life on the line defending this nation everyday.

It's so easy to see why they take delight in the military's hardships.

The left can't understand WHY someone would want to defend this nation which the left finds so abhorent and therefore believe those in the military must be mentally deficient and worthless.

It WAS a farce from start to finish. Prime evidence: Jamie Gorelick and Richard Ben Veniste being on the commission. This was nothing but window-dressing to satisfy the public outrage, but anyone who paid attention knew that nothing of any value would be determined by the commission.

I felt at the time that the 9/11 Commission was smearing the Bush Administration and whitewashing the Clinton Administration. And Able Danger reinforces that belief.

Bingo! But, better concede that, Bush had nothing to do with it, else you better put on the asbestos undies.

IMHO the only persons more responsible for 9/11 than the people of commission were the animals who flew the planes.

We need to stay mad. And demand answers, even if MSM does not. They'll have to get on the bandwagon, this 'Attagate'is just too big.

Proud to be in Weldon's district. He needs our support.

During the commission hearings who was the person talking about running around with their hair on fire if they had known some info that Bush had known? Was that Richard Clarke, the great patriot? I remember something like that and would like to know what that person thinks now.

We need:
1) A House committee or commission to hold REAL hearings on this instead of a bunch of washed up hacks and criminals covering their asses.

2) If ever a special prosecutor was needed to work this case, this is the time. Or maybe just a federal prosecutor since it isn't about a sitting president.

But whoever does it needs to be out front letting the public know that something is being done. Because I *think* people know that something stinks, something is being covered up, something is STILL being covered up by the media.

We need a SBVT effort on this, folks or the Natalee Holloway story is going to make this disappear.
