Someone from DU will likely snag it and post it there. It'll cause them to say...what they say every day about us.

Probably never see it...but in today's world, you never know.
I would have never thought a simple petition I created on PetitionOnline about the WTC Flag Raising, would ever generate 0ver 420,000 signatures and get the exposure it did at the time...but it did. It just depends on who sees it, who passes it on, and then who picks it up. So you never know.
I feel better having written it and published/posted it.

I hope they do...the more who read it, irrespective of their "feelings", the better.

Exactly...you just never know what difference you, or a group of friends might make these days...and that's good.
It is driving the MSM and the liberals crazy and that is also a good thing.

Do you really care what they say about us? They drop the F bomb in their as if they were petulant children that just learned a new word.

If only she would read it!
However, even if she did, I'm not sure she'd understand what you've just said. It's difficult if not impossible to reason with the unreasonable--and just as difficult to speak of honor to those without honor. Usually, they just don't comprehend the concept.

Ouch...it should read SHAMELESS. I will fix it on my site but cannot do so here. It certainly isn;t shamless...because it is a big sham at the expense of her son. Thanks for catching that.

I have a different take on it.
I want Cindy Sheehan to grow progressively more shrill and tin-foil-hatty. When your enemy is destroying themselves, get out of the way.
Let's let America see what the left stands for -- again. I'd wager than within the next five years she'll be found actively aiding Al Qaeda.

You are correct...but remeber, it is her son, and I believe there is still a chance to reach through to her heart, for her son's sake.
Probably not given her actions...but always worth the try. With God, nothing is impossible.

...and I believe that is probably exactly what is going to happen. Still, I would welcome, in this case, for the sake and memory of her son, for her to have a change of heart. An open, sincere, publically announced change of heart would also do wonders.
I doubt it will happen...but it too is worth a chance for her son's memory sake.

Casey Sheehan was a much better human being than Cindy Sheehan.

Great letter Jeff, I agree completely with your take on this.
She has a right to make this stand but she dishonors her sons memory.
Like the Jersey girls, her loss does not give her the right to any greater voice in policy decisions than any of us. Her son died, it is a terrible price to pay, but many others are fighting who disagree 100% with her, the vast majority in fact.
She is a tool of the Left who will use her and her sons memory and spit them out when the next scandal arises.

Thank you for writing this. It would have been a little stronger if you had quoted the short and dignified statement made by the other members of Casey Sheehan's family. You are quite right that the "mother" is both disrespecting and trading on the death of her son -- who was a fine man, grown from a fine boy (I note that he was an Eagle Scout).
I am a firm believer in the use of "open letters." See below. LOL.
