SUNRISE -- Police seized 2 ounces of marijuana at the home of Anthony Diotaiuto after shooting him 10 times, according to information on the drug raid released Tuesday.
Also Tuesday, while many friends and relatives of the 23-year-old bartender and student mourned him at a Davie funeral home, others appeared at a Sunrise City Commission meeting to demand an explanation for the fatal raid
"Do 2 ounces of marijuana constitute a death warrant?" asked Sunrise resident William de Larm, a friend of Diotaiuto's.

I can appreciate your feelings but I believe most officers are professional and fair. Think about that guy you mention that was tasered, he stole a salad in front of his own children and he probably was aggressive with the officers who responded to the call (I'm doing a lot of guessing here). The use of tasers is controlled by strict guidelines and unnecessary use of the weapon will get you on a desk or suspended. If it was used there was a reason for it.

The hapless Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) and his prospective father-in-law Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro) are driving to the nearest town for groceries. They sit in silence, as Jack slips on a tape of Puff The Magic Dragon. Tapping his fingers to the music, he turns to his passenger.
"You like this, Greg?"
Greg nods enthusiastically.
"Yes, I do. Yes I do. Big fan."
Softly, Jack begins to sing along. He beams contentedly.
Greg joins in, then stops self-consciously.
"Great song."
"Yeah," Jack grins. "One of my favourites."
"Hey, what about those people who thought this was really about a dragon?"
Jack turns, confused.
"What do you mean?"
A look of panic flashes across Greg's face.
"Oh, you know... the whole smoking thing?"
"No, Greg, I don't. I don't know. Why don't you tell me?"
"Ah... some people, ah... think that to... um, 'puff the magic dragon' really means to smoke a... um, marijuana cigarette."
Jack is baffled.
"But Puff's just the name of the boy's magical dragon..."
"Right. Right."
They drive on in silence. Jack suddenly turns to Greg, suspicion in his voice.
"Are you a pothead, Focker?"

He just needed tasing why he had the nerve to deny my allegations, oh wait a minute he refused a lawful order to vomit up the stolen sald for evidience, oh I slipped and the taser just deployed, well I didn't like the way he was eyeballing me. those are all "reasons"
Wow! can you let me know what general area you work so I can stay the hell away

Do you know the meaning of "Semper Fidelis"? I doubt it! As for using drugs, Thank God! It sounds like you are having a hard enough time just getting through this thing called reality. You claim to have seen Police officers lie, and shirk their responsibility but surely you must know that television dramas are fiction. Get into the real world and start the healing.

If you think this is about drugs you are sadly mistaken, I have no use or need for mind altering substances.

What does it mean then?"I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."
Always. Even when others fail to, including LEOs.

in the video the police spokesman first stated that "he had a loaded gun in his presence" and then quickly changed it to "in his possession".
Sounds pretty much like these lil shaved head, minimum wage, minimum intelligence drug warriors running loose around here.

That man was shot for grabbing a gun. He was served a search warrant for POT. BIG difference!
Well we know the police lied about serving the warrant, so how do you expect us to believe them about the gun?
Neighbors who said they were up at 6:15 a.m. when the raid occurred said they heard the crash of the front door being smashed, but no yelling announcing the presence of police...A typical no knock forced entry by armed men wearing ski masks.
According to the police, the man was in the living room when they entered and they identified themselves as police. He then jumped up, ran to the bedroom and grabbed a gun. Here's a guy who works two jobs to support his mom, attends church and has never been in trouble with the law. This does not sound like the type of guy who would shoot it out with a swat team over two ounces of pot.
Looks more like a murder to me.
