If that is the case, it would not be the first trial, but the only trial.... at least, I think so.
Can you try someone after they are executed?

How about they just maim him a little for each time he's found guilty and then finish him off after the last one?
That's fair, right?
To: SmithL
If they ever actually have a first trial........

I believe beheading by sword is the method there.
I hope they have popcorn vendors on hand.

To Iraqis in general: Save yourselves the unnecessary cost of all those trials. We all know he is guilty as sin. Off with his head, or whatever, and MOVE FORWARD! You got better things to do than beat a dead horse. Namely getting yourselves together and your country, the future awaits, get past the past!

In Iraq? I know that's the method in Saudi Arabia, but I figure they'll just put Saddam in front of a wall and shoot him.

A thousand cuts first. Very slowly. I hope they also take away his hair and eyebrow dye first so the world can see him with gray hair.

I say just cut off a finger after each guilty verdict and move on to the next trial and execute him after the last guilty verdict.

If Saddam is sentenced to death in the Dujail case, authorities could "theoretically" carry out the sentence without waiting for the other trials to begin, the official said.Works for me.

I think letting him go walking freely anywhere in the Shiite or Kurdish controlled 80% of the country with a cowbell ought to do it.
