FAMILY OF FALLEN SOLDIER PLEADS: PLEASE STOP, CINDY! Thu Aug 11 2005 12:56:21 ET
The family of American soldier Casey Sheehan, who was killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004, has broken its silence and spoken out against his mother Cindy Sheehan's anti-war vigil against George Bush held outside the president's Crawford, Texas ranch.
The following email was received by the DRUDGE REPORT from Casey's aunt and godmother:
Our family has been so distressed by the recent activities of Cindy we are breaking our silence and we have collectively written a statement for release. Feel free to distribute it as you wish. Thanks Ð Cherie
In response to questions regarding the Cindy Sheehan/Crawford Texas issue: Sheehan Family Statement:
The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.
Sincerely,
Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
Developing..
This has legs. Rush picked it up in his third hour and read it today.
Drudge gets "Dan Rathered": posted a letter from a Sheehan "relative"
and blasted his siren claiming that one Cherie Quarterolo, who claimed to be the aunt and godmother of Casey Sheehan, was chastising Cindy and was "speaking for the whole family" in her support for Bush and the war in Iraq.
Well, guess what?
After all the panting, all the feverish spreading of this alleged letter that "proved" that even Cindy Sheehan's family was "against her"...
THE LETTER WAS A CRUDE HOAX!!!!
Matt drudge had to remove the fake letter from his site!
Oh, Matt! Did you check the kerning of the letter first?
Matt Drudge: Hoisted in his own slimy, stinking petard!
DUers don't even bother to check the link to see that this post is a hoax.
It's easy to see why he left her.
I suspect that they know it's not a hoax. This is just an attempt to divert a very large torpedo that is homing in on their Celebity Moonbat du'jour.
Resisting the urge to write, "Take that, bitch!" or something similarly unconstructive.
Sheehan appears to be depressed.
In a perfect world, she would be depressed like Rachel Corrie.
The left wing cult of death would have struck again. If it's not depression, hopelessness or suicidal, it's not left wing enough.
I suspect she was left leaning before her son was killed in Iraq; it just doesn't ring true that she jumped headfirst into fullblown leftwing lunacy, DU talking points and all, even given the shock of her son's tragic death, without having been somewhat liberal to begin with.
The more media attention Sheehan gets, the more outrageous her remarks become in order to keep the cameras rolling; as she whores for the cameras she is digging herself deeper and deeper into a sewage ditch that she may want to climb out of one day. And that won't be easy.
She won't stop. When has a hateful leftist ever heeded an appeal to decency?
The leftists are insanely angry about this.
Let me make a wild guess. She's no longer married to the father, right?
The email is from Cherie Quarterolo, who is speaking for the family and is Casey Sheehan's godmother. The email, with the statement contained, follows:
Sheehan Family Statement (as mentioned this morning on KSFO)
Michael Moore also said that she would be in the cover of next week's People Magazine, bleeeeech!
Their vision is too blurred by bong resin and Cheeto powder.
Only those that made it as far as high school. ;)
*sniff*sniff*
Thank you, finally, the family is speaking up!
If I had a mother like that, I'd risk my life half way around the planet, too, just to get away from her.
I don't visit Drudge anymore, his stuff just invades my computer but the man has done a great service to our troops who are risking their lives for our country.
So, thanks, Matt.
