Amen to that. This woman needs to have parents of people over there put in her face. She is unhinged or embarrassing at best; imagine WWII mothers doing this.....they'd have been ashamed to do this. It's sick.
OOh yeah.......thanks for the updates. I can't tell you how despicable ABC news is. Pitiful morons. And that's a charitable estimate from me.....
Thanks Darks.........need them some days.
Welcome.
See you back at the thread.
Bttt
I heard on FOX News Radio a bit ago, that moveon.org descended onto the scene today (Thurs.).
From Post 155 on this thread.....
have an e-mail from Jim Krause, whose brother Elmer was killed in Iraq at the same time as Casey Sheehan. Cindy Sheehan was with Mr. Krause at Fort Lewis, Washington when President Bush joined them in the chapel.
"Mel, let me tell you his guard was down. He was real. He was genuine. He was sincere. His eyes teared while we told of our loss. He said he was sorry. During that time we all could have blasted out our anger, criticism and contept. He would have stood there and taken it.
..we all share in the loss of loved ones. I don't begin to know a mother's pain and God forbid, the pain of the loss of an only child. I have only one. I only know if she doesn't get past her anger, she will die a bitter woman. Cindy calls for the President to bring the troops home to honor her son. I say "Mr. President, honor my brother's remains
and his 10-year old son whom he dearly loved by STAYING THE COURSE.'
One other observation. When I was in Iraq, many soldiers told me they saw the video of the U.S. soldier hung in effigy in Sacramento. The rally that Cindy Sheehan attended.
They were shocked, upset and angry that the demonstration took place because they say it undermines their mission and morale.
I wonder what Casey Sheehan would say about his mother's actions--let alone her words.

Before you post any more knee jerk defenses of Ms Sheehan, you really, really better read the thread below.

Not knee jerk at all. Read my my bio...I am not by any measure a 'knee jerk' responder and my Conservative credentials are clear. But, as an INFANTRYMAN who has seen a fair share of all types of reaction to the loss of soldiers in my 24-years(1967-1991)...including Casualty Assistance duties that would make Sheehan seem sympathetic...my 'just leave her alone' attitude is well placed.
I'll save my response(s) for people like John Kerry who as an officer did far worse damage to our soldiers etc. than Sheehan can do...
Keep up the fire!

Not at all. Between the two of us, from what you've said, I'm the one who has two children out of six (so far) to serve in uniform.
I see Sheehan for what she is...I don't fool myself in the least...but, I also see what the media and the left has done to exploit and promote her. I know who the real enemy is.
Both my PRO-Military & PRO-Conservative credentials are well documented and I have done and will continue to do more than just talk about the positions I support.
But,(I repeat above)as an INFANTRYMAN who has seen a fair share of all types of reaction to the loss of soldiers in my 24-years(1967-1991)...including Casualty Assistance duties that would make Sheehan seem sympathetic and pathetic...my 'just leave her alone' attitude is well placed.
Hit the left and the media hard though... I'll save my response(s) for people like John Kerry who as an officer did far worse damage to our soldiers etc. than Sheehan can do... Most people can see who she is and what she is trying to do...
``I was proud of Casey. I am pro-Bush,'' said Angela Caspary of Corona, his aunt. ``He didn't kill my nephew. Even on the day we found out about Casey, we had no bad feelings toward George Bush.''
In a joint statement e-mailed to Knight Ridder in response to interview requests, Casey Sheehan's grandparents and other relatives from his father's side of the family said Sheehan ``appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the expense of her son's good name and reputation.''
They added, ``The rest of the Sheehan family supports the troops, our country and our president, silently, by prayer and respect.''
(snip)
``Maybe I always was radical, but I never really was well-informed,'' (Cindy Sheehan) said. ``I don't pussyfoot around. This situation demands strong language. I don't let people tell me that Casey was lost -- he was murdered.''
(snip)
But, as an INFANTRYMAN
Well as a fromer Infantryman, I guess I am dealing with my greif for all my guys who have died the best that I can. See, all those guys are "my sons". I guess I am just having a hard time understanding a mother who waits a whole year after her son's death to completely change her tune and stage a grandstand "protest"
Now that these 'low-lifes' enter the picture the subject becomes a 'target-rich-environment.'
These two puke-bags are the ones who need 'servicing' of some form or other. I have no problem slamming them.

Pressure continued to mount for President Bush to meet with the distraught mom of a soldier killed in Iraq as both Bay State senators backed the woman and scores of families joined her outside Bush's Texas home, including two from Massachusetts
Intresting how the Kerry Press forgot to mention the fact the mother has all ready met with the President.
What is the father of Casey Sheehan saying to all of this? Has he made any statements against Bush or is he remaining silent. I haven't heard anything from the father.
She told a reporter for an Austin, Texas, newspaper that she and her husband, Patrick, have separated but said, "We both are handling our grief differently,' according to the newspaper.
"He agrees with the philosophy behind what I'm doing, that the war was wrong and George Bush lied, but he doesn't understand that I have a passion that I have to do this and this is the only way. If I can shorten the war by one minute and save one life, that would just give me so much comfort in my grief.'
