The Bronx social-services organization that made a controversial loan to the Air America radio network has been rocked by more high-level staff departures, sources said.
Just days after the executive director abruptly resigned following Post reports that the club had provided $875,000 in bizarre loans to Air America, two other top officials at the Gloria Wise Boys & Girls Club have quit.
Acting executive director Lorraine Corva who took over after Charles Rosen suddenly resigned last week will be leaving her job on Aug. 26, sources said.
Assistant executive director Jeff Aulenback also resigned, effective immediately, sources said.
Their departures from the embattled social-services agency are tied to the ongoing fallout from the highly unusual and possibly improper loan to Air America, as well as other dubious fiscal practices, sources said.
A spokesman for the club declined to comment on why the two were leaving.

The left-wing radio network, which showcases Al Franken, last Friday made a $50,000 repayment on the loan to an escrow account controlled by the station's lawyer.
"The [city] Department of Investigation advised Air America to repay $875,000 into an escrow account from which no money can be disbursed without our approval," said DOI spokeswoman Emily Gest.
"Air America has not followed that recommendation."

Recommendation?
RECOMMENDATION?
RECOMMENDATION?
If I go rob a bank, will they come and "recommend" that I repay it?
I DON'T THINK SO.

Which one is the charity?
Gloria Wise Boys & Girls Club or Air America?
A radio network is usually the one denoting time, money, and talent for different causes. Air America is in worse shape than I imagined. Taking money from a Boys & Girls Club. Shame.
ROFLOL
Teresa Heinz is another one with hundreds of millions of bucks to spare who apparently expects other people to pick up the tab for the left wing causes she loves. She could kick in a few $$ to help here.
Interesting that the "media" continue to claim they are not biased. Ha ha. If that were true then this story would be covered by more sources than just the Post, O'Reilly, Rush, Hannity, etc.

Just sent this to NYT editor:
Dear Editor:
We, the public, are still waiting for your page 1, in-depth coverage of the Air America loan scandal. Hell, who are we kidding, we are waiting for any mention of the scandal at all. Is it going to take a 527 to run an ad to get the news into your paper?
My email to Mr, Calme:
Oh Mr Calme,
Was wondering if you could alert the news folks at the News Desk that there is a organization of radical left-wing talk show people called Air America? Maybe you could let them in on this tip? There just might be a scandal there." Maybe and even bigger scandal then the one about John Roberts adopting two kids. What was he thinking!!!!!!!"
I know you will give them a heads up and thanks!
(AR Media) In a new twist to the Air Armerica scandal, Al Frankin has been videotaped stealing donations jars labled for Jerry Kids from local grocercy stores. It is not known yet just how many stores Frankin has hit....
If these were bona fide loans, then there would be traditional loan paper work such as one or more loan applications from Air America to Gloria Wise, one or more promissory notes at a market interest rate, one or more security agreements, and, most likely, individual loan guarantees by Air America's principals, possibly supported by mortgages on their property. Also, if the transfers were bona fide loans, there would be no reason for Air America to be immediately repaying them unless it had defaulted or was flush with cash and wanted to retire the loans early to avoid paying interest.
NONE OF THE ARTICLES ABOUT THIS SCANDAL HAS REPORTED ANY SUCH THINGS. Hence, these transactions were out and out embezzlements, not loans.
They can keep their heads, JUST GIVE BACK THE MONEY!
