I think that Gorelick should be investigated and if possible charged with obstruction.

Treason

There is no doubt in my mind that Gorelick's purpose was to run interference for the Clintonista's and conceal their incompetence and culpability.

It should be obvious to everyone by now. All those copies of the 911 Commission report weren't worth the paper they were printed on without any mention of how Able Danger not only recognized the danger posed by Atta, but also called for law enforcement to enforce the laws against him. The Clinton administration lawyers decided for themselves that Atta was not an illegal alien, and therefore couldn't be investigated for any subversive, dangerous activities he had engaged in or was likely to engage in. Gorelick's wall further precluded the exchange of information, and then an official body was organized to cover up these facts and attack the Bush administration, simultaneously.

FNC (on Cavuto's show - repeat from earlier today) just reported that the 9/11 commission staffers were in the Nat'l Archives looking for their notes - - wonder if that will be another Sandy Burglar event - -hopefully they have some security there watching.

The optimist in me wants to say that Weldon is already on to what's in the archives, and that the Berger burglary and subsequent prosecution made it possible.

Berger gets probation but the 911 Commission suffers.

So now we know how they were able to so quickly and accurately identify Atta and some of the others. They were already under investigation.

Interesting. And the FBI knew about the violent nature of Tim McViegh because the Michigan Militia had reported his violent tendacies. After OKC occurred, Clinton attempted to bash the Extreme Right Wingers (including Rush) with promoting Tim McVieghs kind of violent anti-government behavior (Tim's own writing indicates he was actually an anarchist). Some have even speculated that Clinton's handling of this domestic terrorism event actually helped him win reelection.

If Clinton et. al. were protecting these Al Qeada terrorists, what possible benefit could Clinton/Gore attain ?

The actual information is old news it was all discussed by Freepers during the Commissions hearings and no one would listen. The Media was too busy trying to blame 911 on Bush.

Standard progressive strategy. Accuse your opponents of committing the very crimes you could appear guilty of committing. At the very least this defensive strategy will buy them time. Now if Gore had won, the strategy would have been 100 % successful.

I believe the Dems/Clinton thought they were going to lose the next election

Then they would have conceded that first night. My guess is they thought they HAD TO WIN, to cover all their illegalities. The way they dragged the country threw 30 days of uncertainty, was unprecedented ! They did not go down easily then, remember, even the MSM incorrectly called Florida before the polls had even closed in Florida. Then there was the attempt in 2004 to use false exit polling data and Michael Moores rant. They are acting as if they MUST have the executive office again. Why else would Hillary run ?

Speculated? Speculated HELL, he came right out and said it did!

"Relaxing on Air Force One after the 1996 elections, Bill Clinton told a pool of reporters that he owed his political revival to the Oklahoma Bombing. He was in a reflective mood, looking back at the ups and downs of his turbulent presidency. As so often, his thoughts lingered on those first painful months after the Republicans captured both Houses of Congress for the first time in almost two generations. It had been a stinging rebuke for the White House. But then that bomb went off." The Secret Life of Bill Clinton - Ambrose Evans-Pritchard - Page 3.
Writing in The London Sunday Telegraph, Ambrose Evans-Pritchard describes how things had changed by election night 1996. "Relaxing on Air Force One after the election, Bill Clinton told reporters it was the Oklahoma bombing that proved the turning point in his political fortunes. It was the moment when the militias, the Christian Right and the Gingrich onslaught against government all melded together in the public mind as one rampant movement of extremism. `It broke a spell in the country as the people began searching for our common ground again,' Clinton explained."

If Clinton et. al. were protecting these Al Qeada terrorists, what possible benefit could Clinton/Gore attain ?
Turmoil for Republicans. Looks like it's working too.

Then they would have conceded that first night.
Prior to election day the Democrats thought they had it in the bag. Don't you remember?
They are acting as if they MUST have the executive office again.
Nothing new there. How else will they implement their grand plans? Can't do it from New York and can't do it from podunk Arkansas.
Why else would Hillary run ?
'Cause she is as power hungry as the rest of 'em? Besides, she'll get to be "the real deal" this time and not just a co-president.

Thats my point, not yours. You said they thought they were gonna lose.

Who do you think will be first lady this time ?

Just what this country needs, politics getting in the way of the safety of it's citizens.

This is what is so great (sarcasm) about this country, the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing and certainly do not want to share any of that 'knowledge'.

Could it be that it was documents related to this issue that Burger was hiding his pants?

The exact question that came to mind as I read this.

Will have to turn on my 24/7 this morning so I can hear yesterdays show as I missed it.
