The governor General, like the Canadian government and Quebec - is as useless as the third teat on a mule.

I'm not sure what a Governor General is, let alone who this woman is, let alone what Canada is. Should I be voting yes or no?

Hey, what's the problem?!

She's female, a visible minority, and worked for the CBC, just like Adrienne Clarkson.

So how can you tell me she's not qualified - nay, destined - to be Governor General!

Governor-General. The most sickeningly politically correct and inexperienced one yet.

Good, good. It was 51% when I checked it last, so this must be working. This is my first suggested Poll FReeping. But, really, I was truly shocked (and I'm pretty jaded when it comes to how low I think the Liberals will sink) by her appointment. No political experience. No military experience. Too young. She was just a pretty, exotic face. Having some crappy show on CBC does not entitle you to become Commander in Chief of the Canadian Forces and the Queen's voice in Canada (which is what Governor General is. Theoretically, they override the Prime Minister.) She was chosen because she was a black, francophone woman whose party loyalty is assured and because they are seeking to destroy the office of Governor General (the next thing on their hit list of old Canadian culture).

Wasn't it the woman appointed French Defense Minister who had her boyfriend teach her to salute after she learned she'd been appointed?

No better suited than Private Benjamin.

Do you have a picture to back up these claims? ;)

"NO"- @ 57% and I helped.

I do not have a clue what I voted for. Honestly - I don't.

I feel somehow, USED.

Unless (!) I get PAID to vote....... :)
