Michelle Malkin just mentioned this. Gilbert was formerly with Clear
Channel.
The title ("hired") doesn't match the press release
body copy ("named"). As Michele asks, is this guy
going to get paid?
"to the next level": Chapter 7? 11?

I really thought it said "Vice President of Invective". I had to stare at it for ten seconds to realize it wasn't.

Oh. I thought they were talking about Gilbert Godfried. I think he's much less annoying than Franken.

Do they also have a VP of "keepin' it real" ? That would be the bankruptcy judge and then the trial judge.

"flagship station WLIB AM New York."
Shouldn't that have said "leaky flagdingy station"?

Don't tell me, let me guess. He's getting $850,000 per year?
BTW, Mr. Gilbert, will you accept a third party check made out to the Gloria Wise Boys' and Girls' Club? If anyone asks, tell them you're an inner city yoot with Alzheimer's. Thanks. I explain latter.

I would definitely listen to four hours of Gilbert Gottfried a day. He's hysterical, and legitimately crazy.

They say that in the movie "The Aristocrats" (which has 100+ comedians telling the old off-color joke) that his telling of it is the funniest.

I suspect the purses are all now sealed with Martha
Stewart (TM) brand hot glue guns.
The former CC honcho is the sort of person AA needed
have in place at the outset. They didn't. It is way
too late now.
My guess is that his compensation is pure contingency.
If he can turn things around, they'll pay him big bucks.
Prosperity for AA and Gilbert highly doubtful.

I've heard the same thing. I also heard that Bob Saget's version is the filthiest!
Seriously, I've actually laughed to the point of tears almost every time Gilbert is on Howard Stern. He's such a funny weirdo.

Gilbert Gottfried slays me! I loved those ESPN commericals with the dogs playing poker using his voice. "Is everybody against me here?!?!?!"
