Democrats Woo Values Voters (the RATS still don't get it)
FoxNews ^ | 10 Aug 2005 | FoxNews

Conservatives have traditionally embraced religious issues, often giving Republicans the image of being the more "pro-God" party. But now some Democrats are fighting to change that image.

In the 2004 election, many voters cited "morals" along with candidate stances on issues like gay marriage and abortion as key to their election picks. These so-called "values voters" overwhelmingly backed President Bush, but Democrats insist that Republicans don't have a monopoly on morality.

Too right. The Demosocialists are always announce that they are "changing their image." A certain number of people will fall for it.

Of course political parties will shift with the political wind and do anything to get elected. Politics is the science of the simple.

Appeals must be made so that they will be understood by the least sophisticated. Slogans must be short, programs proposed that can be described in a few words. Above all, politics must promise voters FREE, FREE, FREE.

But we must remember that socialists are dedicated to fight any authority above government and so are secular to the core. This attempt by demosocialists to reach out to the religious will fail because it will lack sincerity.

Liberals just cannot say, "I love you Jesus."

Nope. A party tied to the abortion industry, ACLU Christianophobes and Hollywood cultural relativists can't claim to speak credibly to values voters. They're shuckin' and jivin' and think the country's too dumb to understand what they're really doing. You earn the country's votes by upholding their values not doing everything you can to uproot them. The Democrats think all they have to do is say a few nice words and their problem's fixed. Not quite. They have nothing inspiring to say to the country and they can't motivate people to go vote FOR them.

The "me" party will never get it. May God help them lose more and more until they are truly irrelevent.

"Conservatives have traditionally embraced religious issues, often giving Republicans the image of being the more "pro-God" party."

This is of course complete nonsense. About the only time conservative politicians get on the religion bandwagon is to defend against attacks by out of control liberals in the judiciary and in the bureaucracy.

Let's see, what did Ronald Reagan, the proto-typical conservative Republican campaign on? Stronger defense, economic growth, pride in America, smaller government, stronger families, common sense ... I'm still looking for some religious issue here, can anyone help me?

Last month, Democratic spiritual leaders gathered in Berkeley, Calif., to focus on resurrecting the American spiritual left. Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid is bringing God back into the Democratic fold by adding a page on the party's Senate Web site aimed at religious voters. Democrats insist this effort isn't new, and that strong, godly principles have always been abundantly clear in the party platform. Party leaders add that people can expect to see that awareness reflected in future Democratic outreach efforts.
