Eminent Domain In Texas
Jarhead1957

Posted on 08/09/2005 1:32:36 PM PDT by Jarhead1957

We just received a letter from "Citizens for Rick Perry" asking for a donation, citing therein everything he has done for Texans.

My response, less a donation, will be similar to this...

"We can no longer support Perry for Governor, based on what he has not done for Texas. Anyone who openly sells out Texans by refusing to protect us with a constitutional amendment on private property rights has no business with that honor. Our disappointment with Perry's arrogance, and his blatant disrespect of the majority of Texans, compels us to aggressively support and campaign for another candidate..."

THEY JUST FLAT DON'T GET IT, DO THEY???

Rick Perry is a $5 brain with a $50 hair cut mounted on it. I refude to support him anymore for this reason, his signing the huge spending increases, adn his failure to get apraisal caps.

What is the problem here? Have you ever seen Rick Perry's hair!!!??? I mean really! LOOK AT HIS HAIR! How can anyone even think of messing with a guy with hair like that! That's damn nice politician hair. It's POWER HAIR! Don't ever ever look directly at it or you will HAVE to donate money to him! I'm not a queer but I have to say Perry has hot hair. And that's what's important! Well, at least if the guy is just gov. of Texas which isn't a really powerful job and the odds are he can't get you killed by being stupid or doing dumb stuff like building a highway from and to nowhere for a bazillion dollars. If you have a guy with a lot of power and you want to make sure he doesn't get you killed you need a guy with brains! For example:

........HAIR......................................BRAINS..........

His own party is sending his political career down in flames. He should at least call them on it.

I thought I read that the Texas lege did in fact pass something to protect us from the recent Supremes' decision but maybe I got it wrong.

I know a lobbyist that says in private Bush and Rove call Perry a duma$$. But I won't post that here anymore because it makes some people mad.

The Senate passed a watered down eminent domain bill rather than a constitutional amendment. It died with the session.

I've been a Republican since Ronnie Reagan in 1980 but I'll vote for Kinky Friedman for Governor of Texas this go 'round. Rick Perry is an embarrassment.

I hit send toooo soon. The Houston Chronicle really played it up, but it was just a status quo bill. I did not really give protection from government.

I have one of his stickers on my pickup. I don't know if I will vote for him, but it really pi$$es of the lib in Austin.

I drive around th capitol each day to watch the reaction. we old folks have to have fun every now and then.

If Perry was the only one running I would go fishing on election day.

My son is a Aggie grad, and he never mentions the Rick went to A&M. That says alot!!!!!!!Wooooop

I was going to add your candidate's name to the keywords, but it was too long to fit.

Kinky Friedman may be no better than Pappy O'Daniels but he probably won't be any worse.

I don't have one yet, but it will not be Perry! Will none of the above fit?

No, I received the reply e-mail, and with my stance on eminent domain, I posted it. I wish it had been my idea, but I don't take credit for others fine thoughts. Eminent Domain is still locked up in Texas because Ricky boy will not let it out! That is a fact not a guess.

It has to be signed by the gov before it can become law.
