Well, for whatever it's worth, I call them Professional Malcontents, perpetually angry about some real or imagined grievance. Mostly "imagined"-- their world is a combination hothouse, fever swamp, and kindergarten, peopled by folks who never quite managed to grow up.

Not sure it's among the links here, but I've run across information I have linked elsewhere showing how the Tides Foundation ( Momma T-Rex ), ANSWER, ACORN, MoveON, and numerous other wacky-wacky Leftists are interconnected and mutually supporting.

The stuff I uncovered about the G-8 protesters in my home town last year was similar-- these people's lives are one ongoing complaint, often subsidized ( correction-- make that "almost always subsidized" ) by others. The forums on their websites are a fascinating revelation-- everything is free, to them, and everything bad is somebody else's fault. They dwell in a Never-Never Land of eternal childhood and bear grudges against the adults, and the only thing that really counts is getting face time on TV. Andy Warhol was prescient.
