Dear MFSO
I used to have a son in the Army. Spc Casey Austin Sheehan was killed in an ambush in Sadr City on 04/04/04. Our family was against this "war" from the beginning. We cannot believe that the American people think this is a good thing. But our son joined the Army in 08/00. He loved it and did well and he was a good soldier. He reenlisted for another 4 years and was looking forward to changing his MOS. He was a mechanic, and according to his superior officers a great one, but he was going to go into Military Personnel. He didn't complain about going to war, he just wanted to get over there and come home. He said "the sooner we go, the sooner we come back"
My dear, sweet, sensitive, faithful, gentle, and loving son was KIA after he had been over there for 2 short weeks He had no idea how soon he would be coming home. He volunteered to go and rescue some of his buddies and was ambushed by an even larger force. He was killed instantly and he didn't suffer, but we are suffering enough for everybody.
It was confirmed by the air force officer who escorted my son home from Iraq that he was one of the flag draped coffins. Shame on America for not wanting to see that! Why? Does it make the civilian families uncomfortable? Everyone of those flag draped coffins was somebody's son! My son never got the chance to be married and have children. He would have been an awesome husband and daddy.

Apparently, he believed in the war he was fighting.
Poor Casey. Must be tough having your mom piss on your grave.
I don't think that America did NOT want to see that. It's not every family's wish that their child's coffin is displayed. A policy of long standing, IIRC.
He was killed instantly and he didn't suffer,
Yes, that's what they all want to believe.
Spare us the ravings of a lunatic. This deranged creature's 15 minutes cannot end soon enough for me. She apparently once thought her son's sacrifice worth it, and the acknowledgement it received from the president appropriate and satisfying...I guess that was before the George Soros/Jane Fonda money started pouring in...
PROTESTING SOLDIER MOM CHANGED STORY ON BUSH
Mon Aug 08 2005 10:11:07 ET
The mother of a fallen U.S. soldier who is holding a roadside peace vigil near President Bush's ranch -- has dramatically changed her account about what happened when she met the commander-in-chief last summer!
Cindy Sheehan, 48, of Vacaville, Calif., who last year praised Bush for bringing her family the "gift of happiness," took to the nation's TV outlets this weekend to declare how Bush "killed an indispensable part of our family and humanity."
CINDY 2004
THE REPORTER of Vacaville, CA published an account of Cindy Sheehan's visit with the president at Fort Lewis near Seattle on June 24, 2004:
"'I now know he's sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis,' Cindy said after their meeting. 'I know he's sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he's a man of faith.'
"The meeting didn't last long, but in their time with Bush, Cindy spoke about Casey and asked the president to make her son's sacrifice count for something. They also spoke of their faith.
"The trip had one benefit that none of the Sheehans expected.
"For a moment, life returned to the way it was before Casey died. They laughed, joked and bickered playfully as they briefly toured Seattle.
For the first time in 11 weeks, they felt whole again.
"'That was the gift the president gave us, the gift of happiness, of being together,' Cindy said."

Sheehan's current comments are a striking departure.
She vowed on Sunday to continue her protest until she can personally ask Bush: "Why did you kill my son?"
In an interview on CNN, she claimed Bush "acted like it was party" when she met him last year.
"It was -- you know, there was a lot of things said. We wanted to use the time for him to know that he killed an indispensable part of our family and humanity. And we wanted him to look at the pictures of Casey.
"He wouldn't look at the pictures of Casey. He didn't even know Casey's name. He came in the room and the very first thing he said is, 'So who are we honoring here?' He didn't even know Casey's name. He didn't want to hear it. He didn't want to hear anything about Casey. He wouldn't even call him 'him' or 'he.' He called him 'your loved one.'
Every time we tried to talk about Casey and how much we missed him, he would change the subject. And he acted like it was a party.
BLITZER: Like a party? I mean...
SHEEHAN: Yes, he came in very jovial, and like we should be happy that he, our son, died for his misguided policies. He didn't even pretend like somebody...
END
On her current media tour, Sheehan has not been asked to explain her twist on Bush; from praise to damnation!
Developing...
She reminds me of the Jersey Girls. Almost 3000 were killed on September 11th and in the aftermath the very radicalized and partisan Jersey Girls became the official spokes people for all others for all the Sept. 11 related events.
Now it appears that Ms. Sheehan, a very bitter and vicious politically active partisan is now the spokes person for the 1700+ killed in the Iraq War. I'm sure we'll hear more from her than all the rest put together. Perhaps she can team up with the Jersey Girls.
Your 15 minutes are going to end soon.
I'll bet little Sissy Matthews will have her on Softball tonight.
According to her there have been no US female casualties?
If the pentagon had published pictures of his coffin, she would be screaming about them using his death for propaganda.

This poor pathetic woman is to be pitied. I do wish her family would take her home and tend to her.
I wonder who taught her son about honor, respect, courage, and love of country?
She damn sure did not!
Go to this website: http://www.remember.org/witness/cowling.html and read the letter to home written by Lt. William Cowling, one of the liberators of the Dachau concentration camp. Pay special note to the next to the last paragraph. People of his parents' generation evidently had a different concept of service than those of the present generation.
The lunatic mike malloy had a caller on the other night. Made me sick. He basically said they just joined the army for college expenses, not to ever actually fight.
Malloy of course thought that was totally reasonable. Just horrible logic.
