1. Warning: Hillary Can Win the Presidency
A new report from a top financial services company has a warning for those who dismiss Hillary Clinton's chances of gaining the White House: Underestimate her at your own peril.
"We're not making a flat prediction, but a plausible case can be made that she will become president on Jan. 20, 2009," writes Greg Valliere, chief political strategist with the Stanford Group Company, a research group.
Here's Valliere's year-by-year scenario.
Her 2005 plan: Keep moving toward the center on national security and social issues. A litmus test will be the senator's vote on the John Roberts nomination - if she votes to confirm the Supreme Court nominee, it would be a sure sign that she plans to run.
Her 2007 plan: Raise tons of money. Clinton and her husband have access to tens of millions of dollars in campaign funding from a range of party activists.
2. Hillary Rakes in Big Campaign Bucks - from Texas
Hillary Clinton has amassed a $12.6 million war chest for her campaign for re-election to the Senate next year - and a large chunk of that money has come from Bush Country: Texas.
Clinton's latest campaign reports, filed on July 15 with the Federal Election Commission, became public on July 28 and show that her second-quarter contributions totaled $6,108,413.
More than $5.8 million of that came from individuals - 65,691 of them in all.
The largest amount came from contributors in New York, $1.7 million. But surprisingly, the second largest amount came from a solidly Republican state, Texas -- $458,874. That's significantly more than the $311,900 Clinton received from the most populous blue state, California.
Republicans in Texas hold all statewide offices, most of the state legislature and most of the congressional seats.

If she becomes President, I'm fleeing to Mexico. There's not anybody left down there anyway.

Ms. Clinton doesn't need to hire anyone for publicity -- Newsmax is on the job! I cannot believe how many articles they write about the woman and every last one of them gets posted so FR becomes part of the Clinton spin machine! :(

I just hope some of that money "trickles down" to some good conservative small business owners

She's too ugly, it'll never happen.

Haven't read the rest of the article, but I'd bet the money from Texas came from Austin and certain sections of Dallas and Houston. The only Kerry stickers I saw in Texas last year were in Austin and in Houston's Montrose area!

She's too ugly, it'll never happen. Don't forget "very difficult to listen to" and "extremely unlikable" as well.

"Underestimate her at your own peril."
That's what I've been screaming about for months now! The Cow raised a whole lot of moola in Texas and she spells danger!!! I'm upset to see the RNC ain't going zippo to bring this witch down during her senate race in 06!! Let's not fool ourselves with poll numbers that state she has very high negatives and most likely unelectable...NONSENSE! Sheer rubbish, she will be hard to bring down in 08!! And the RNC better start waking up from their stupor!!
To: Fruit of the Spirit
Hillary is nothing. Why the press fawns over her and her husband makes me want to puke. I Hillary.

The only way she can win is with 3rd party help.
More likely, Hillary is going to be heading towards a massive blowout loss.
The GOP nominee will just landslide her in '08.

She won't win a single state Kerry or Gore lost and she'll lose some they won.
Twenty states or so. Won't get it done.

And the RNC better start waking up from their stupor!!The RNC had better make sure she gets the dem nomination in '08.
She gives us the best chance of winning a GOP blowout.
She's toast in '08, she'll lose in a landslide.

I won't leave, but I can go underground just like her constituency.
I have more Faith in our Country than this, sure we elected Jimmy Carter and Bubba (Twice) but most of that happened with the non-stop campaigning by MSM and MSM is becoming less and less a factor every day.
Hillary's baggage is impressive, even with a healthy MSM she wouldn't make it (I think she is disliked by her colleagues in almost equal proportion to voters)
Sliming President Bush is all that they have left, I expect numerous Hail Mary's over the next three years.
