Back in June when FOX was contacted by a Diario reported, wasn't he following a car with 3 men and 2 women?

I vaguely remember something like that also...its been in the back of my mind all along, wondering what happened to these mysterious people or whether they existed at all. Remember there was a thread where "any minute," something like 11 people were going to be brought in because of suspicion of involvement. Eventually, it just ended up being S. Croes/Kalpoes (2)/van der Sloots (2). Even counting the two guards who were released, what happened to the other people? Did they ever exist or where they these 2 women and 3 men?

I don't think anyone else was detained, but wasn't Lorenzo questioned at some point?

The interviewer last night did not pick up the significance of these papers, I kept wanting him to ask specific questions. Sometimes the folks who fill in are just dreadful, and wasn't the John Walsh segment shown last night a repeat left over from last week?

I have a feeling Greta will definitely delve into those declarations with Beth. It was something that should not be glossed over, the way it was. (Yes, the Walsh segment was on very recently.)

The woman they were following turned out to be a middle aged woman and not related.

But I wonder too,,all these rumors of all these arrests and breaks in the case. It is tiresome. But without it, the press would fold up and go away.

Lorenzo was questioned, IIRC, but nothing came of it. He had an 'alibi'.

TexKat found the info last week that we are talking about, but it didn't have the details of the vehicle they were following. The dynamics of the group just sounded very familiar. hmm. I don't know much about the reporter and where he is now. I've not heard that he left the island or is 'missing'. I have googled him by name but not much comes up.

I heard Greta downplay the landfill withness last night. According to her his story has some holes in it. I understand from what she said that the number of people involved has changed a time or two. It doesn't look good when every witness report yields nothing new.

At this point, my only purpose in going to Aruba would be to help search for Natalee.

Ditto - same for the rest of the Islands. And, I would definitely have considered going to any of them prior to this situation.

This is the witness who took and passed the polygraph? Was there a second witness at the landfill, a female?

I don't know about a second witness. Greta was talking about the original landfill witness. I think the told a friend or neighbor, who is a woman, but as far as I know he is the only landfill eyewitness.

Thanks for the info you've supplied. Reading your post, I noticed your friend quit working for Posner before he bought the Brickell in 2001. That means Joran would probably not have started his gambling in casinos by then. Joran would have only been about 13 or 14. So it makes sense that your friend would say Joran did not have a line of credit there, at that time. She probably wouldn't know the recent status of Joran's line of credit at the casino. For me, that leaves open the possibility of Joran having a line of credit at the HI casino.

There's only one reason to go to an island like that and that's to par-tee. Including drugs and sex.

Aruba, for me anyway, has been an illusion until now. I envisioned beautiful beaches, island food and music, learning the history, etc. Now, I see the famous strip with inviting pastel colors that includes C&C with its booty calls, underage drinking and gambling (by tourists & locals), an irresponsible government & "polis," danger around every corner and a pathetic caste system.

Heaven help you should you encounter some difficulty or emergency. What is the name of that travel guide that writes up all the countries/vacation spots? I'd love to read the travel ratings on Aruba. Pity.

Beth says she took 6 declarations home with her when she left Aruba. She had recieved one declaration that was torn. Beth says it shows how sloppy this case is being handled since she was able to get these declarations.

Beth says Joran admitted having sexual relations with Natalee in the back seat of Deepak's car. Wants to know if the Kalpoes were participants or observers.

I know you did not address me, but thought I might be helpful. Beth had some six or seven police docs called 'declarations' when she went home for a few days to AL. One doc was torn as if in effort to destroy or discard.

One doc stated that Joran confessed to having sex with NH in the back of Deepak's car.

Coincidentally, one of their very own writers who was doing a story on I think Jamaica, went missing 5 or 6 years ago while doing a story there.

Her parents have been on tv a number of times lately, because of all the coverage of Natalee, so their daughter's story is now getting more notice.

Same deal for her, missing without a trace, cover-up by the hotel where she was staying, govt official who blamed the victim for going to the island for her hedonistic pleasure...though it had to be pointed out to him that she was there working.

Sad story. I think her last name is Kirschhoch.
