I wonder if Aruba LE have ever questioned Melody or other of Jorans friends..it would be interesting to know how old she was when they "dated", what she meant by rough sex and if Joran ever used a belt or choked her...while his psychological/psychiatric records (if any) may or may not be off limits any similar prior violent/strange acts would seem to be pertinent.

No, but i think it maybe important....maybe he gets his kicks that way..a belt around the neck would leave marks and if the hyoid bone was broken evidence of a crime not a fall..thus the body disappearing..since a belt was found it might be a connection...(robert chambers tried to say his victim died from one quick movement, but appeared to be strangled, some similarities) from Dr Baden/HBO Autopsy:

FYI I heard a radio talk show veterinarian recently state something like 60-70% of expired dogs who are xrayed had boken bones in their throat from choke collars...not that it necessarily killed them but broke the bones...

Sometimes I wonder what kind of horrors that child has faced if she is still alive. I mean, we all hope she is alive, no doubt. But when I think of the kinds of things that could be happening to her . . . God forbid!

How does anyone ever get over something like that? I know with her loving family, she could. But she would be scarred for years . . . Makes one wonder if that could be classified a "fate worse than death."

Please don't get me wrong, for her sake, and her family's sake, I wholeheartedly hope she is alive and they are reunited. But we can't deny that if she is still alive, she is enduring suffering that most of us could never imagine.

Without closure her parents are going through an agonizing time and it may be(or seem like) a fate worse than death...I empathize with them and maybe that is why so many people are interested, what would we do if it happened to us?

I am really afraid I might resort to more primitive information gathering techniques...something like kidnapping Jorans brother and telling paulus he gets him back when we get Natalee back...of course I would wait and give the law first crack at solving it..then all bets are off... I doubt I could follow it through but just think about it...

Melody posted on RWV that she has the exact same birthday as Natalee, and that she and Joran dated a year ago. Of course, the person posting as "Melody" on RWV has only preliminary confirmation by that site, and is far from reliable. Unfortunately, we have to take everything she says with some salt . . . and Pepto-Bismol . . .

I agree it is very pertinent to the investigation, and I do believe that students at Joran's school have been questioned, though I don't think that includes Melody (I think she said that she goes to another school).

There were some other reports on Scared Monkeys (I think???) that someone spoke to the receptionist at a pediatric psychologist's office and heard that Joran had major psychological problems. But, again, it is unconfirmed hearsay. :o( We can only hope that if he does have such psychological records, that the prosecution has it in its arsenal . . .

You know RS, what you're talking about would be relatively easy to do. It's an island. A tourist island at that. Hell, all of your spotters and half your team could go in as tourists.

It's the Caribbean. I'm sure there is some modern day pirate who needs a little cash and would rent you his boat. Hell, he would pilot it for you.

This is what is bothering me, we dont know what ALE has or hasn't done (ther than the messed up beginning) now we find out they did get a sworn statement from the gardener when before it was reported they didnt..we know the rumors about Joran, the dog, and psychiatrist but we dont know if anyone has checked anything out..since ALE messed up the beginning, it is tough to have faith in them when the Aruba way of doing things is not to comment to the media...lack of real information...
