Holy Moly! The wrath of the old gray hag! And it's not the Saturday edition!
And you were waiting for the new episodes of "The Sopranos"?
BTW: I was born in New Brunswick, NJ, but left the Garbage State at three months old to go to NY. Out of the frying pan into the fire...
Is this really from the NYT's???
Forget it Jake, its SOPRANOSTAN!
I uze to be frum joisey an dere is sumpin' abowt da place..I dunno how ta esplan it butt its like evvyboddys got a angle or sumpin, ya no? Dey is lookin for away ta scam sumpin alla time.
"...the fact that he provided her with a $470,000 mortgage and forgave the debt after they ended their relationship might simply suggest that he was an extremely desirable boyfriend."
Well said, and by the NY Times, amazing. I really should have a boyfriend like him at some point in my life.
"Out of the frying pan into the fire..."
Gosh darn it you are right out that, Clemenza. I often think about moving back to NY, but I always realize it will indeed be out of the frying pan into the fire.
Gotta get away from here though. We are thinking Virginia. Waiting to here about hubby's raise, that may prove the determinant.
Ping!
Don't want you to miss any of this "important" stuff.
Wrath??
Imagine it's the Republican candidate who is this immoral, disgusting, and corrupt.
The New York Times wrung its hands and gnashed its teeth but really couldn't figure out any way to ignore, dismiss, or spin this story. So they went lukewarm. The New York Times WILL endorse Corzine. Sure, they'll probably feel forced to throw the old "with reservations" caveat in there like they usually do when their Democrat candidate is this bad, but they WILL endorse him. Count on it.
this is a low risk op-ed for the NYT to publish - they know Corzine is going to win anyway, so they can toss out some modest criticism of him knowing they will do no real harm.
Want to bet the NJEA endorses this guy? They actually endorsed Torch Torricelli until the day after he pulled out of the race for senator.
no doubt, they will endorse him. the teachers only care about their salaries and benefits, draining as much tax money and taking as much money from the classroom as they can. its "for the children" don't you know.
Not everyone in New Jersey is a slimeball, but sometimes its hard to remember that.
This won't stop the NYSlimes from endorsing Corslime for Governor.

Corzine has this election in the bag. As former CEO of Goldman Sachs, he will get a good share of the "country club Republican" vote in Morris/Somerset/Hunterdon counties, and, if all else fails, the cemetary will be voting again in Jersey City and Newark. The Dems haven't had to bother with waking the dead in recent elections (as they were already winning), but that can change as necessity dictates.
She must be one great piece of ...
You'd have to do the research to verify it, but IIRC, the one time Corzine ran for Senate, the Times endorsed his Republican opponent. Something about it being in bad taste for Corzine to buy a Senate seat.
