Thanks. It's really hard to watch the suffering in the south. Of course, you're right - every day truly is a gift. Think I'll stop reading the hurricane threads for a while and get back to terror sleuthing (smiling).

The suffering hurts my heart, too.
What helps me is prayer and doing something.
So, since I'm not one of the those volunteers with builder skills I am:
*Praying.
*Monitoring The Salvation Army web site.
*We contacted a church in Alabama.
They are going to advise us as to what we can do for them.
*Monitoring the news and posting updates.
Well, that's my Do List.
Other friends are:
*Praying.
*Giving to the Salvation Army.
*Contacting people and organizations to see what they
need.
*Emailing friends with info and support.
