The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

It's hardly a unique fashion statement for a mass transit rider: a Yankees-style cap, and a "New York" sweat shirt.

But the New York Police Department is teaming with British authorities to determine whether those items were worn by suspects in the London terror cases to send a "purposeful message" to the city, according to an NYPD officials.

David Cohen, the NYPD's deputy commissioner of intelligence, raised the concern earlier this week at a security briefing for business leaders at police headquarters in Lower Manhattan.

Just a rant:

Headed out early this morning to top off the gas tanks on the cars and gas cans in the garage.

My local gas station was charging $3.26 per gallon for regular unleaded gas!!!!

The owner, whom I've known for 15 years happened to be at the station. I ripped into him for gouging and showed him that the station on the other corner was at 2.76/gal.

He just hung his head and shrugged his shoulders mumbling about the hurricane.

He lost me as a customer forever and knew it as he watched me drive down the street to the other station.

I think it is a real threat. Giving us fair warning is perscribed in the fatwa. Now they can do their dirty work with a clean conscience. I believe it is a nuclear threat, for the eastern seaboard, and something with the capacity to divide the country into several zones. This seems to be what they are hoping for :-(

Tuesday, now that is a good question -"Why Tuesday"?

I can't talk about what it means to them quran wise, as I don't know.

But after many years of dealing with the days of the week and what they mean to me, I have always considered Tuesday a nothing day, little happens, in restaurants, bars, offices, people simply plug along and make little effort.

People go to work, and go home, Tuesday is not a party night.

Tuesday is a shuffle the paper day.

Monday is a take an extra day off if possible, some are hung over, kids oversleep and don't go to school....etc

People hate Mondays and expect anything to happen, they are edgy.

Wednesday is a little better, "you have made it over the hump", Friday does exist.

Thursdays were always my favorite, people went out and did things getting ready for the weekend.

Friday is a bit of a holiday mood and people use it to make a 3 day weekend.

Saturday and Sunday are special days.

LOL - In all my jobs, I have almost never had weekends off,
so my looking at the days may be based on my 'days off'.

Tuesday in the muslim week, wouldn't that be a Friday in our week?

I would think that they like Tuesday, because we are mellowed out, on the whole are at our desk (job) and most likely where we are expected to be.

About two weeks ago I went out and bought 4 cases of water. I don't know why but I always feel better when I have a stash of supplies on hand.

I see from a CNN report they are now sending in 10,000 more National Guard. Seems to me they should have been sent two days ago, but that's just me. We are reacting instead of acting preemptively. Apparently if there is a terrorist attack, based on this, I fear we are in deep trouble.

Ok, if no one else will admit that they heard CtoC on the day after the storm, I will admit that I listened to the part with the date perdictions--by accident.

Noury was interviewing someone with a name that sounded like: Louis Douri or Touri

It was about this Louis having been on some prior show and predicting the big storm, within one day.

Louis gave these new dates as dates for future 'happenings'.
The dates are center dates, the incident to be within one day on either side of given date.

9-8-05: Police news, Dramatic news of great death and crazy people. Like a school shooting, or mall or?

9-17-05: Middle East look for assassination, oil news, war to have a surge forward, more death.

9-26-05: Earthquake, weather with force, need to relocate thousands of people.

I know nothing about the man, except they had the tape of his having made the prediction for the New Orleans storm.

What did interest me, was Noury asked what the special meaning of 4 was......the answer is that it is the number for the base of the pyramids..........

9-8 and 9-27 are close enough and tuesday's.

The only date that is firmly in my mind is October 19th.

I first noticed it about 1993, it was as tho I couldn't wait for it to get here.

I had no reason, except it was on my mind.

At the time I worked in a Casino, and one night a couple who came there all the time, asked me what October the 19th meant to me.........

They were not nuts or odd balls, simply locals, who took advantage of the perks offered at our casino for free meals, etc. And as they were nice people, more than likely we smiled at them more often and made sure they got the perks.

When I told them it was firmly fixed in my mind and I did not know why, they admitted to the same thing. It seems that for some reason, there were many people doing the same thing, waiting for October 19th.

They said that they knew people who had left the area, in fear of an earthquake on 10-19 of that year.

It passed and we never knew why it was in our mind.

The problem is, that October 19th, is back in my mind.

When I saw your tuesday dates, my mind said October 19th,
it was as tho your dates had passed.

The date has no personal meaning to me. It is just a date, but for some reason, a date in my mind for over 10 years.

Not panic here yet.
I filled up at my corner station Mon night @ $2.85/gal. This morning early(5:00am) it was $2.99/gal, must have raised it tue night and just drove by a little while ago and its @ $3.10/gal. 25 cents in three days!!!

$4.00 by next friday?
