I guess I have to say this is almost/is off topic:
granny....
I sit here with the radio on and listen to the talk of 2 days of people fleeing New Orleans and how they used both sides of the freeways to go in one direction--out--of the area.
It brings to mind what Dr. Bill Wattenberg has said over and over, that the dangers will be from the fleeing people.
These people were fleeing in advance, can you imagine what it would be to flee "after" the disaster?
Dr. Bill will be on at 10 pm tonight, at kgo.com, he is to be also on the computer, if you want to listen.
Last night KGO, John Rothman, who comes on after Dr. Bill, had a Mother on, whose 17 year old daughter was gang raped.
She told of what it was like to go through the trial, and to find out that the girl would be the one punished by society.
If you have young people in your world, you will want to hear tonights program with Dr. Bill, as was listening to John's interview and called and asked for permission to do a program/or part of his program on the incident.
The boys were convicted and as they were society and sports players for the school, nothing happened, they got out of jail and went back to school.
The girl and several others who also made reports about what they had to endure from the boys, recieved death threats and lots of ugly attacks.
To the point of the police having to escort them to and during the school day.
This was a nice girl, not a drinker, but still apparently a date rape drug, raped in the car, left in the car naked and sick, while the boys went to meet their friends in a Cafe and have dinner.
I hope Dr. Bill unleashes his full power on the school and the way this girl was used.
Dr. Bill has 2 girls under 5 years old.
This type of "the in group" always wins, has got to stop.

documents

A sydney restaurant owner faced court yesterday on fraud charges
after dozens of forged identity documents with links to an overseas
criminal syndicate were allegedly seized by police during raids in
Waterloo and Kingsford.
The court was told the documents included 10 passports, 15 Medicare
cards, 23 driver's licences, 45 bank cards, 70 cheque books, blank
NSW birth certificates and Australian visa passport stamps.
Alex Rusli, 34, who goes under the aliases of Irwan Irwan and Edwin
Sanjaya Jo, a restaurant owner of Waterloo, appeared before
Parramatta Bail Court charged with 16 Commonwealth and State
offences in relation to the raid, including possessing foreign travel
documents, possessing fake Australian travel documents, possessing a
device for making forged Commonwealth documents, having false
instruments and opening an account with a cash dealer in a false
name.
Police said a further 100 charges will be laid upon analysis of the large
number of documents seized.
Police from the Identity Crime Task Force also raided two units in
Potter Street, Waterloo and Bakso's House Restaurant in Anzac
Parade, Rosebery, during Friday's operation.
In a Waterloo unit the accused shares with his wife, police allegedly
found numerous documents in all three aliases.
They allege Rusli created "identity kits" using stolen authentic
identities and fabricated new ones.
Investigations by Operation Hydra found he had been denied
permanent residency in 1997 in the name of Rusli. It was granted to
him in 2001 under the alias of Jo. He had left and entered Australia
under the name Irwin in 2002 and 2003. Police also allege he opened
and operated bank accounts in false names.
Australian Federal Police agent Warren Gray said the fake identity
scam had links to an Asian crime syndicate operating out of Sydney
which involved stealing large sums of money from credit card and
bank accounts.
"The high quality of the forged documents leads us to believe he was
quite high up in the syndicate," Mr Gray said.
The accused's solicitor Michael Coroneos said there were significant
issues relating to proving possession as a number of people occupied
the premises.
Bail was refused and the matter adjourned to Central Local Court
tomorrow by audio visual link.

Zarqawi 'to attack Europe'
28/08/2005 19:01 - (SA)
Washington - Iraq's most wanted militant, Jordanian Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who, as al-Qaeda's pointman in Iraq has claimed responsibility for dozens of attacks, is overseeing preparations for a major attack in Europe, Time magazine claimed on Sunday.
Citing European intelligence reports, Time said Zarqawi "has been overseeing preparations by highly trained operatives for a large-scale terrorist attack in Europe".
Time did not specify the origins of the intelligence reports, but said Zarqawi has spoken of sleeper cells in Turkey and Iran "in communications with another al-Qaeda leader".
The reports imply that these cells may be in contact with European jihadist groups that previously had no links to al-Qaeda, Time claimed.
Disparate
"The fear is we'll see these disparate, relatively inexperienced groups around Europe hook up with Afghan-trained terror cells, all under the influence of Zarqawi," independent French terrorism expert Roland Jacquard told Time.
European officials say the reports are based in part on US officials' interrogation of suspected al-Qaeda deputy Abu Faraj al-Libbi, captured last May in Pakistan.
Zarqawi has written to al-Libbi about setting up camps in Jordan, Turkey, Syria or Lebanon, European officials claim.
He hoped the camps would provide instruction in European languages to facilitate jihadi attacks in Iraq and Europe, Time claimed.
Zarqawi heads the so-called al-Qaeda Organisation in the Land of Two Rivers and has a $25m bounty on his head.
His group has claimed responsibility for dozens of attacks against US and Iraq forces, as well as the killings of foreign diplomats in Iraq.

Salafi Jihadi Trend Theorist Turns against "Al Qaeda" and Issues a Religious Opinion of the Impermissibility of Suicidal Operations
29/08/2005
London The most prominent theorist of the Salafi Jihadi trend has turned against "Al Qaeda" organization and issued a religious opinion prohibiting the suicidal operations.
Under the title of "Reasons for Prohibiting Suicidal Operations" Abdel Mon'em Mustafa Abu Halima, the Syrian fundamentalist theorist, who is known as Abu Naseer Al Tartusi, said in his website, which is carrying his name, "I have received more than 1000 questions on these operations. For me, they are more of suicide than to martyr operations. They are prohibited for various reasons."
Al Tartusi, who is a resident of London, has drawn conclusions based on Prophetical sayings such as, "Whoever hurts a Muslim has no Jihad reward". He said, "This is with regard to whoever hurts a Muslim, then what about those who murder or intentionally murder a Muslim?" He also quoted the saying of the holy Prophet (PBUH), "Whoever murders a non-Muslim enjoying protection under the Islamic state, would never smell the scent of Paradise, whose scent can be smelled seventy years away."
In his religious opinion, which was issued on his website, dated on August 24, and has been circulated by some Islamic websites with so much rage and debate, Al Tartusi said, "Suicidal operations do mean that a person is committing suicide, which is contradicting with tens of valid and righteously interpreted religious texts, which prohibit that a person commits suicide, whatever the incentive was, as Allah says, "Spend for the sake of Allah and do not throw yourselves into peril." 2:195, and the prophet says, in the verified Prophetic saying, "Whoever commits suicide with an item in this world would be tortured with it on Judgment Day." Sheikh Halima pointed out, "We should not neglect or tolerate with the most significant energies and cadres of the nation, and get them involved in a limited similar act, which does not have safe consequences or results."
He confirmed, "This is a mistake, according to all considerations and criteria. It is a religious mistake, as it is a type of forcing the person going into battle to commit suicide with his explosive suicidal operation, while he is not convinced of its legitimacy or permissibility, or that he considers it closer to suicide more than anything else."

BRITAIN: IKEA HEADSCARF FOR FEMALE MUSLIM STAFF
London, 25 August (AKI)- Muslim women working at Swedish furnishing giant IKEA's new north London store have been issued with a specially designed headscarf bearing the firm's logo - discreetly sewn into the back. Management commissioned the headscarf, which is navy blue with a yellow trim, to accommodate workers wanting to wear a hijab.
"We haven't heard of any other company doing this kind of thing before. Each of our stores runs itself, so they will decide whether to offer the option to employees, " said an Ikea spokeswoman.
The customised headscarf has received a postitive reception from the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB). "We commend IKEA for addressing the cultural and religious needs of its employees. The colour is not an issue in the hijab and as long as the logo is not all over it, Muslims will not have a problem with this," said MCB spokesman Ibrahim Mogra.
TheHijabShop.com, which designed the headwear, said in statement on its website that when IKEA first approached it, its team "was impressed that an internationally-acclaimed company like IKEA was making so much effort to accommodate Muslims in its workforce".
The brief the firm received from IKEA was to design headwear that was comfortable for employees to wear, with no flowing material or pins - for health and safety reasons - but which also met Islamic requirements.
The first piece of the headscarf acts as a cap covering the head, and the second fits over the cap to cover the neck, shoulder, and chest area.

Welcome Jeff to TM! Glad to see Tracking Terrorism is back up.
"They have gone astray so we want to treat them in a way that will set them straight. . . We want to treat them the way clerics treat their students, the way fathers treat their sons."
Too bad the clerics can't find it in their hearts or ethics to treat coalition troops or innocent non-Muslims with the same type of kindness and "understanding" they use to "chastise" (wink wink) the London bombers.
Thanks penguino.
This seems to be getting good coverage.
Yep, I understand.
