The presidents endorsement of such a discredited, nonscientific view is akin to suggesting that students be taught the "alternative theory" that the earth is flat or that the sun revolves around the earth.
Not even close.
We know for a fact that the earth is not flat and that the sun revolves around the earth.
On the other hand, we do not know with any kind of certainty whether we got from a single celled organisms to our current state via mutation and natural selection.
These are completely different levels of evidence. One is proven in the current time frame and the other is based on limited fossil records and the past and the notion that since we have similar genes with other animals we have a common ancestor(logical fallacy).
One can certainly believe the former without buying into the latter.

What does that have to do with the Theory of Evolution?

Your logic indicates you are not a teacher.
The cluckhead leftist can only grasp one concept - "What anti-Bush statement can I use my soapbox to proclaim".
She has her 10 minutes of fame, during which she has demonstrated herself to be an idiot who can't even quote the President correctly before finding fault with him.
