Well, he can do more from the House than he can down on the border.

Others will have to step up to the plate.

Go for it Jim!

John Campbell has the endorsement of the Lincoln Club (Country Club republicans)
Marilyn Brewer has John McCain's endorsement.
The New Majority can't decide between the two.

If I could vote in that district, Gilchrist would be a welcome addition to the choices.

Orange County very Republican, Cox's area even more so, but big bucks needed to win.

It's a very high-end district.

If I had to guess, I'd bet it has about the highest per capita personal income of any congressional district in the country.

Two statements from his site lead me to believe he'll be an Independent candidate:

"Republican Party leadership, those of my old political party, are acting little different than the "tax-and-spend" liberals of the Democrat Party."

"Hybrid -- supports Constitution (Independent) Party and Republican Party candidates; occasionally even supports a principled rogue Democrat"

This fellow seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

John Campbell has this race sewn up tighter than a drum.

I've bookmarked Jim Gilchrist's website. I'll be sending him some money for his campaign.

And why would that be?

Because that's the way the "new Majority" wants it?

Piss on that collection of GOP Big Tent RINOs, liberals and moderates. Orange County with its large conservative base will decide on who will replace Cox.

John Campbell has this race sewn up tighter than a drum.

If it was going to be decided by Republican DC political hacks, you'd be correct.

But, fortunately, it will be decided by Orange County voters, in a wide-open free-for-all of a race.

Campbell is boring, uninspiring and squishy on the issues.

Don't count your chickens just yet...

The New Majority can't decide between the two.

Which says all I need to know about both of them.

'The New Majority' is a collection of liberals whose goal is to move the GOP in Orange County radically to the left.
