Thank you. The real story the MSM continues to ignore is a big elephant in the center of the room and it ain't Rove.

Lots of good background. Thanks.

Wilson/Plame would get fried in court, should the case ever get that far, which it won't.

You should be working at CIA instead of misfits like Plame, Larry C. Johnson and the scores that have been cleaning out their desks since Tenet was replaced. Great Research!

You are absolutely right. I keep seeing suggestions on leftist web sites that the Wilsons should sue Rove in some civil action. Not a chance they would do that as that would expose them to discovery. And they can't stand that heat. Plame is clearly not the brightest bulb on the CIA tree--then again, missing the end of the Cold War and WMD in Iraq, maybe she is. And that's a bummer IMO.

Very good! BTT big time!

The MSM and the dims want to get Rove because he is da man, the architect of the Bush presidencies and the bane of their existence. They're tired of getting Roved.

Judith Miller may hold the key.

The funniest part of this whole saga is the notion that Miller is sitting in jail because the release allowing her to name her "source" was, in her and the NY Times' words, "coerced". The only conceivable reason as to why she will not name her source is because to do so would be not only an embarrassment to her and her employer but quite possibly would be an admisssion of engaging in an illegal activity.

She and the Times knows who the source is and my guess is she's the source. Novak worked a deal with the prosecutor, possibly named her as the source and Miller, not wanting to invoke the Fifth Amendment during Grand Jury testimony, is hiding behind the supposed right of a journalist to protect a source. It's simply makes too little sense for her to be sitting in jail to protect Libby or Rove when those cats are basically already out of the bag.

[The real question the main stream media continues to ignore is who in the CIA and/or Department of State went to bat to support Plame’s efforts to get her Bush-hating-Kerry-supporting husband an assignment in Niger which he would soon use to try and torpedo the Bush campaign. The signs increasingly indicate it was neither Rover nor Libby. A fact worth recalling is that Wilson was on the payroll of the Kerry campaign until he was thoroughly discredited by revelations proving he had lied about how he garnered the Niger trip. The Kerry camp pulled out all the stops to try and trash George W. Bush. Could they have had a hand in this phony outing setup? Judith Miller may hold the key.]

So WHEN do those 'who know'. . .beg the question into the light of public scrutiny. . .are they waiting for this 'original' version to be cast into our history books. . .or another jaundiced film experience by Michael Moore?

Once this myth saturates public consciousness. . .the truth will not matter. . .

"The MSM and the dims want to get Rove because he is da man, the architect of the Bush presidencies and the bane of their existence. They're tired of getting Roved."

I think this effort was initially launched to try and shoot President Bush's campaign out of the water. When some of the MSM reporters tied Rove to the story--after the election--the leftist Democraps turned their guns on Rove. Unfortunately for them, the Dems have formed into a circular firing squad with the Wilsons in the middle.

I agree with your comments on Miller. A visit to Democrap web sites (KOS etc.) quickly demonstrate they hate Miller. And some journalism group just pulled back an award they had earlier voted to give to Miller for er...standing up for principle. Looks like she's down and out and not a friend on either the left or right. I hope the grand jury is extended beyond October and her ass rots in the slammer for years.

I am fairly pessimistic myself over whether the truth will out. I hope you are not correct in your analysis that the truth will not matter. But, you could be right.

One other point not picked up by the MSM is the fact that while we know Tenet and Cheney were not responsible for sending Joe Wilson to Niger, it's never really been explained who actually made the decision to send him there and why it was necessary in the first place, particularly someone of such relatively high visability. The president said what he said in his state of the union address and then the CIA sends someone over to Niger to prove it? Methinks some anti-Bush folks were out to get 'em.

I hope the grand jury is extended beyond October and her ass rots in the slammer for years.

According to Congressman Billybob:

"CIVIL contempt, meaning refusal to answer the questions of the Grand Jury, ends when that jury's term ends. And that term was set when that jury was first empaneled. However, if a new Grand Jury is empaneled to continue the same investigation, the witness can be called again, and again imprisoned for failure to answer. This, however, is very unlikely."

"CRIMINAL contempt, which means failure to answer questions before a court, does not have such a time limit. Special Prosecutor Fitzgerald can pursue criminal contempt against Judith Miller. If he feels that she is in the middle of a criminal activity, and that he can prove it, this is the option he would follow, other than simply letting her walk out in October."

Just so there’s no mistaking the fact that Valerie Wilson was and is a left-leaning Democrat, it should be noted that she more recently contributed $372 on October 11, 2004 to “America Coming Together” organization, a George Soros-backed liberal Democrat activist group.

BTW ACT announced today it's closing the doors on most of its' big city offices and have sent out pinks slips to most of its' workers to look for other work. Looks like Soros has pulled the plug.

Lancey, thanks. Billybob is an authority. I hope he goes for criminal contempt. The investigator is no friend of Miller anyway as she blew an earlier investigation into Arab charities connected with terrorists. She deserves the full justice of the law.

The president said what he said in his state of the union address and then the CIA sends someone over to Niger to prove it?

Wilson went to Niger BEFORE the SotU Address. Wilson's initial op-ed piece in the LA Times, written right after he returned from Niger, said that Iraq may indeed have attempted to purchase yellow cake uranium. It wasn't until months later that he shopped around an entirely different op-ed piece, scooped up (naturally) by the New York Times, that spun 180 degrees from what he had initially opined. This was right after he joined the Kerry campaign.
