Planning Commission Votes Against Day Labor Site
HERNDON, Va. (AP) - A set back for those hoping to build a site in Herndon, Virginia for day laborers.
WMAL Radio reports the planning commission voted early this morning against the site. A third public hearing on the matter was held last night. On Monday, hundreds of people signed up to speak at the hearing -- so many the extra session had to be added.
Supporters say the site would provide a safe gathering place for people who are willing to do undesirable jobs for low pay. It would also provide them with English tutors and social workers.
Opponents say most of the day laborers are in the country illegally and tax dollars should not be used to build such a facility.
It'll now be up to the Herndon Town Council whether to approve it. A vote on the 170-thousand dollar facility is expected on August 16th.

I suspect if the Herndon Town Council want to keep their jobs, they will vote it down.
My, my. Look at those lovely, goodhearted men who just want to put food on their families' tables! I'm certain they will enrich us by their presence. How could those evil, redneck, gun-toting vigilantes possibly object to such sweethearts? (sarc)
You must be referring to the hordes of illegals who are on the public dole via false birth certificates, false social security numbers, false green cards, etc. That's the big question - what about them? Answer: They'll continue on their merry way, bilking the American taxpayers.
The spinless elected leaders, from the top all the way down to the bottom, will do nothing to stop this thievery.

Yeah, those are the same good-looking guys who are represented by the guy who called into Michael Graham's show yesterday AM, and announced that if he had to steal or shoplift to put food on his table for his family, then he would do it. "We are all just trying to put food on our tables." he announced, failing to appreciate the irony that some of us would prefer it if he and others of his ilk would only do it LEGALLY!!!
Whenever I hear Spanish spoken now, I turn around and tell them to "go home" - and yes, I say it in Spanish just in case they don't understand that much English.

This President has REALLY let us down on this one, despite him being good on a number of other issues.
Their is no denying the President's failure to get this thing under control.
I don't know the Herndon plan, but the problem with these IAHC's from the get go is that the centers don't require any ID verification. Our local illegal alien day care job center told one citizen they accept any ID as long as it isn't written in crayon. It is the employer's responsibility to verify the eligibility of their workers. City workers at the center are not qualified to verify the authenticity of IDs and prospective employers, many of whom do not speak Spanish, rely on the center's "multilingual" staff to interpret putting the onus right back on the city and making the city complicit in the hiring of foreign nationals ineligible to work in this country.
The article is a follow-up on a citizen's** complaint to the City Attorney calling these meetings a violation of the Brown Act as "It alleged that members of the City Council and city staff have worked with an independent committee but withheld information about their involvement and the committee's work." And the City Attorney has rejected those claims BECAUSE whether or not Council Members attended these backroom illegal alien luv fests, they did not have a quorum in attendance and did not take notes. At least that's what I get from it.

** The paper calls EVERYONE "residents" these days. I prefer a clarification and I know the "resident" in question is a citizen.

It should prove mighty interesting to read the "Doing Business As" statement of CM's new improved Job Center.
Hopefully one of these days we'll have a President who will actually enforce the laws, and these "day labor centers" can be torn down and a few million freeloaders will be sent home.
You should be one of the testifiers at that Herndon City Council meeting coming up, on the IAHC (illegal alien hiring center)!!
All this stuff, be it Costa Mesa in California, Herndon in Virginia, places in North Carolina, Massachusetts, ANYWHERE in the US where IAHC's are planned, should be sent into a central strategic brain center, such as F.A.I.R. or Judicial Watch, and whatever works in one community in terms of shutting these days, or aborting them before they come to term, or otherwise showing some measure of success, could be shared with other communities that are just coming on line with these illegal alien center headaches (supported by liberal officeholders but funded by the unwilling unwashed masses), in other words, templates of success should be shared so they can be replicated.
