[history]
So wonderfully Californian, Marsha Weidman's home has it all--along the beach, far from noisy traffic, with a Jacuzzi used to watch sunsets over the Pacific.
For this, she and her husband recently paid $1.05 million.
For that, they got a trailer, built in 1971, without any land.

I'm not sure what everybody is ranting about. When I clicked on the Yahoo! article link, the story was accompanied by this picture of the house.
That seems like an awful lot of house for only $1 million.

If the land that valuable , aren't yall concerned about ED and a developer putting up condos?

For all of its faults, I'd sooner live in Compton than in the Antelope Valley (which, I understand, is becoming Compton with a worse commute anyway) or out by San Berdoo. I only hope to Krishna that I never have to make that choice.

Palmdale, Lancaster, San Berdoo, Fontana, etc. are all popular with those recently discharged from Folsom.

In five years, this million dollar mobile home will be worth about 500,000, while a million dollar home purchased at the same time will probably be worth 3 or 4 million. Crazy? Yep.
To: Clemenza
That's horrible. And so MANY young families go out there, to be able to buy a home....
