Voinovich shows no inclination to grow into his job.

[Voinovich] "said the long battle to confirm Bolton was positive because "though there are a lot of sad people at the State Department they can at least feel it wasn't a layup shot for him to get the job.""
This is what is so digusting about simpering, snivelling milk-toast RINOs like Boinkovich: he's actually more concerned with pleasing vapid State Dept. careerists who are busy working on behalf of the foreign policy of FRANCE than he is with seeing that the USA has a brilliant, strong, and forceful Ambassador to the United Nations.

The RINO Senators (or any other Senator, for that matter) have no right to complain because they would not even let Bolton come up for a vote.
The job of the Senate is to vote. If they won't vote, then the President is perfectly within his rights to make a recess appointment. In fact, recess appointments are sanctioned by the Constitution, which is more than you can say of filibusters.

But blocking Bolton's confirmation was OK.

Voinovitch can KMA!
As far as i am concerned, his name is mud.
No support or contributions, or even trust
will be forthcoming for him from me, from this
point forward.
Him or Specter..they are both dead to me.
To: SmithL
Maybe John Bolton will grow in this job," he said.Maybe Voinovich will be voted out of his job in his next election.

I wonder if the book on management that ole Voinivich is sending to Bolton, has the chapter that tells a senator NOT to give his committee chairman the "head's up" when he is gonna vote opposite of what the chairman thinks, thus embarrassing the chairman, and the POTUS....
OR, does this "book o'management" tell a manager that if he doesn't get his way, he gets up in front of the world twice, and cries...??????

When does he come up for reelection? I really hate him and will donate my time and money to ensuring he loses in the Republican primary.

Stolen from Jonah Goldberg, who stole this from Robert Duval's character, Bull Meecham in "The Great Santini."

What happened in the Ohio special election today? I was just thinking that Hackett may have gotten the idea of fooling the electorate into thinking that the was a moderate from Voinivich. I sure hope that the GOP cuts this guy off from any funds for re-election.
