Jimmy Carter claimed that he was attacked by a rabbit while he was fishing.

You have to be kidding me! Wasn't he in his 60s when he was prez?! He's gotta be pushing 90.

Carter was just 52 when he was elected President in 1976. In fact he was just a bout 5 months older when he left the presidency than Ronald Reagan was when he started his first term as governor of California.

As much as I don't like Jimmah, I still have to put x42 down as the worst. Maybe time will change my mind,

Well here's a little fun with numbers:

39 x 42 (Carter x Clinton) = 1638

1 + 6 + 3 + 8 = 18

18 divided by 3 = 6 + 6 + 6

Heh. Works for me.

The fact is, comparing Carter and Clinton is like comparing a copperhead with a rattlesnake:

Both can inflict fatal bites (and nearly did with their respective presidencies), both cannot be trusted, both will turn on you in the blink of an eye, and like their ancient ancestor in the Garden, they'll lie with absolute assurance, knowing that many people will trust them anyway.

And they can't help themselves, because after all:

They're both snakes.

LOL! That was good! Guess I'm thinking that Jimmah is a traitor with his tongue while x42 actually gave away technology.

It's just too bad that Clinton stole so much of Carter's limelight for being an absolute boob...

This man, whose blip on the historical radar screen is best known for the damage he was able to impose within a mere four years, says he is "embarrassed" because we are keeping terrorists locked up at Guantanamo Bay prison.

where is that d***ed Rabbit when we need Him

Oh you can be assured that Jimmy's weasel-like tongue was not the only tool of treason employed during his 4 years of disgracing the White House:

1.) Cancellation of B-1 Bomber (thankfully resurrected by Reagan)

2.) Revealed highly secret development of Stealth aircraft to score political points.

3.) Gave away Panama Canal, endangering U.S. security.

4.) Destabilized Middle East with his personality-oriented so-called "Camp David Agreement" which obviously failed, as we witness the current smoldering cauldron in the ME.

5.) Stabbed the Shah of Iran in the back, paving the way for Islamofascists to seize control, which ushered in decades of state-sponsored terrorism direct from Tehran.

6.) 444 days of American hostages held by the Assahollah's thugs, need I say more?

7.) Failed to respond forcefully to Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, decided to "boycott the Olympics in Moscow".

8.) Consistently cozied up to Brezhnev, seeking to get a flawed SALT II treaty ratified despite the risk to U.S. security.

9.) Vetoed 1977 military budget, based on belief that the Navy did not need another nuclear aircraft carrier.

10.) Cut funding for neutron bomb development.

11.) Instigated the Iraq/Iran war by signaling Saddam Hussein (via Zbignew Brezinski in a visit to Amman Jordan in Spring 1980) that the U.S. would not oppose an Iraqi invasion and annexation of Iranian territory.

12.) Broke all diplomatic relations with Taiwan and the mutual defense pact with Taipei (this was prior to Congress passing the Taiwan Relations Act), effectively bowing to ChiCom pressure and sucking up to Beijing.

Does this sound like an American President, or does it sound like one of Moscow's "useful idiots"?

Oh yeah, Carter was, and is a traitor.

Jimmy Carter is far from irrelevant to the enemies of this country.

Wow! I was too young in those days to know all that. I was just mad because my Dad found the need to keep the house really cold during that time to support the country or something.

You can be assured my FRiend, that Jimmy Carter was the political equivalent of syphilis, so far as America's national security was concerned.

Fortunately, Ronald Wilson Reagan, along with a 44 state landslide, arrived with a crate of penicillin just in time.

the best thing a former president can do after serving his country is shut up and take your place in history... don't try to redeem yourself by rewriting and bashing the sitting one.

I know someone answered this already, but just a few more details. Jimmy was fishing in a boat, when a rabbit supposedly came swimming toward the boat. In order to defend himself, Jimmy supposedly used the oar of the boat (as I recall) to try to hit it or divert it from "attacking" the boat.

I was quoting somebody else. I honestly didn't think about that "60 something" comment. More like "two score and sixty years ago...".
