SEATTLE - A federal judge struck down a move by the Bush administration to ease logging restrictions in the Northwest, saying the government failed to consider the effect on rare plants and animals.

In other news, a federal judge just appointed himself president....

This is why the ESA must be relegated to the dustbin of history.

Raging wildfires have an effect on plants and animals too. It generally kills them. Proper management puts more healthy trees in the environment and removes the dead trees and underbrush that fuels ultra hot fires. The judge is a leftist, tree hugging idiot.

So using the best available information from known environmentalist states is no longer good enough?

Basically, we are to double our efforts and waste more taxpayer dollars in order to achieve the same results, all the while allowing enviromentalist fringe elements the opportunity to sabotage the projects.

I wonder how big the judges house is and how many trees it took to build it??

saying the government failed to consider the effect on rare plants and animals.

The government did take plants and animals into consideration. With less trees the plant life would receive more sunlight, which means more chlorophyll, which means hardier, faster growing plants. And, with less trees, the animals will be able to romp about without being concerned with running into a tree or two!

"the effect on rare plants and animals"

Yeah .. the effect will be cremated plants and animals. That is no way to protect rare plants and animals.
