I never claimed to be smart, just rational. Have you been drinking?
"I think there are a couple of other hotel/casino owners that may be included in that scenario."
Given so few truths in this case is it not naive to dismiss anything? I think taking a look into the casino circuit is not really such a bad ides. It's been said that Joran was at the casino when he first met Natalee. Many people saw him there. Mike Posner owns that casino and he is no angel. And whether or not we like to think about such things as porn against someone's will, it does happen. It;s sad, but it's true.
At this point...I think all things should be investigated.
No one has to report anyone on this thread. The Admin Mod obviously checks it often.
You misunderstood my question. I asked: If Natalee had not been partying that night would there have been no victim?
I didn't ask if Natalee would not have been a victim.
While you are scratching your head, here's a hint.
Victims do not choose the criminal.
Criminals choose the victim.
Last night on Greta, Tito Lacle said that he was an illegal and was scheduled to be deported. He was supposed to give a written statement about what he saw so that if he was deported before any trial they would have his statement. Is this what you may be thinking about?
Sheesh...looks like I'm talking to my self. lol.
Good, then despite your claim, I have not been deemed to be a disruptor.
At least it would be an intelligent conversation.
Regarding his lying...he may be in a position where telling the truth might endanger his life and those of his family.
Keep an open mind...the truth will come out eventually. If Beth keeps pushing (and she will).
The gardener didn't show up for his court date. I don't think he needs to worry about them finding him anytime soon based on ALE's track record.
lets try again, weasel...

From everything we know about the relationship between NH and JVDS, there is no reason to believe she did not go with him willingly. They had been hanging around with each other for days.

(for brevity in THIS post, I have snipped the relevant Byrd/McVay statements from the Greta transcript in 1189)
parse what you (w)rote with this:
"On the Record," June 21, 2005
MCVAY: We were in our hotel casino. And that was the first night that she had ever met him. Contrary to other stories that are circulating, she did not know him before that night.
VAN SUSTEREN: All right. And when you say the fist night, was that the night of May 29 into the 30th, when she missed her flight home?
MCVAY: Yes, ma'am.
VAN SUSTEREN: And Ruth, how did you happen to notice him? What was it about him that caught your attention?
MCVAY: He didn't. He was sitting at our blackjack table, and he just seemed like a normal teenager. He wasn't flirting. He wasn't really outgoing at all. And Natalee, just in passing, introduced herself and walked off. And nothing was strange or out of the ordinary about him at all.
VAN SUSTEREN: Did there come a time when Natalee made some sort of date I don't mean a date, I mean, an arrangement with him, with you, with everybody, to go to Carlos and Charlie's?
MCVAY: Not with him. Absolutely not. With us. She went with all of our friends. He wasn't with us. He didn't go with us.
VAN SUSTEREN: How is it, Ruth, that both Joran and Natalee both ended up at Carlos and Charlie's?
MCVAY: He came with his friends. He had told us that night that Sunday was not a fun night on the island and that no one goes out. So we found it ironic that he showed up.

I saw the interview went it was first aired. I heard what these two said, but Frances Ellen Byrd made a conflicting statement. Also, I believe many of the kids later conceded they were too drunk to have a really good handle on exactly what transpired.
bunch of crap, TbV
you wrote that N and J had been carrying on for days.....and I showed you the fact of what was said, specifically that N had just met J in the casino just prior to attending C & C's.......the supposed "conflicting statement" was due to time constraints inposed on the same girl on another show, and because of the constraint her respobne was to "leave it at that".....and what she "left at that" was that N had been seen at the HI that nite (between the beach concert and going to C & C's, which was "that nite"), NOT that N & J had been carrying on for days. 2 different issues.......and there is no conflicting statement from Frances Byrd, but SOME of you and your kind never quit trying to make it appear that there was.

Now, do you want to reply to this directly, or continue to weasel?
It's funny, really. Some of this stuff you just have to laugh at!
I think what you are talking about is TJ saying someone had been impersonating him.
The missing person is probably the gardener. Can't recall if TJ mentioned this, but Jossy did. Jossy said the gardner did not show up for court and will now be sought by LE and brought in with a summons.
I have to take a shower. I apparently stink.
lol. I don't know...feels kinda loopy thinking about all the possibilities in this case.
I would enjoy posting more to you, but TexKat seems to think I am taking the enjoyment out of the other chatters. No enjoyment for me either since she gave me a lashing.
" It's conceivable that the witness wrote down the wrong license plate numbers/letters."
While it's possible he wrote down the wrong number, it's also possible the ALE or even Jossy is doing a cover-up.
"and bla bla bla."
Excuse me, but I think you meant "blah, blah, blah."
A lot of people forget that Natalee was a very well traveled young woman before going to Aruba, according to her family early on, including Europe. I don't think she was all that naive. Maybe not a routine party girl, but probably a very normal young adult.
What in the world is so odd about a girl falling for someone on a summer vacation on a tropical island?! Seems very normal to me. I think she and Joran had an attraction for each other prior to her missing, but after that -- who knows?
I also don't think the students stayed in their own rooms throughout the week, youthful human nature being what it is.
