About seeing NH and Joran:
She said she saw them dancing towards the end of the evening. (wonder what the Kalpoes were doing while they were dancing? Slipping roofies?) She passes him barely noticing (not paying him much attention). Then NG asks what they were doing LATER in the evening and she said she didn't see them LATER in the evening. She saw them that one time.
About leaving C&C:
She is saying the exact same thing everyone else has said. Everyone was trying to get into taxis and it was a bit chaotic. She did not see Natalee.
About them calling her cell phone:
I don't see any contradictions. I see NG asking her a question about what other people did. She was in the aiport and could not possibly answer for what other people still at the hotel did. That was a bad question about whether or not someone tried to call her. There's no way the kid could answer that. She made an assumption that someone would do that but knew there was not point because the cell phone was in her room. And...even if they did what good would it have done? Where's the value in the question?
This is why I don't watch NG. The questions are bad.
"They have dignity in their refusal to do that."
They're trying to protect their already shattered dignity. Whatever acts they committed while on this trip are not worthy of being dignitous. They are more likely shameful for what they did while away from their parents' eyes. And tha is why they refuse to talk - they're ashamed, and rightly so.
Thks for the info RGVTx.
I have no way of knowing that. I'm just saying that I too have bashed Frances Ellen in the past, but maybe she's been having to carry a big secret around and part of it slipped out in that interview, and that's why she had to say "let's just leave it at that."
Beth and Jug and Dave have all said that there is a lot more to the story than they can tell, and they have kept the kids off camera as much as possible. Really the only time they came on was when Urine and the defense were trying to claim she was drunk and a slut. They've dropped that line of defense you might notice.
Excuse me I have to go joranate.
IIRC the first time they were asked about the hotel was about what they did after the concert. Not C&C's. Wonder if that's what Byrd was referring to?
You have already gone your way, little boy. Stay there.
Danke.
What is bad about this question: "What did you see? Did you see Joran Van Der Sloot there?"
She responded: Actually, Natalee -- I was with Natalee. We were all together, dancing, and Natalee was only with Joran towards the end of the night. But I did pass him. I didn`t really even notice him. And that was it.
What is bad about this follow up question? "So when you saw him later in the evening with Natalee, what were they doing?"
Seems pretty concise to me.
"If the girl(s) had such ill-will toward Natalee they've had plenty of chances to throw out all kinds of negative imagery about her."
After the disappearance?
No way! They'd rather keep quite, least they, themselves, will be unmasked of their own sins.
The fact is these girls went to parties together, but did not get back to their hotel together. Why didn't they stop Natalee from going with strangers, in a strange place, in a strange land and headed for unknown places? Why didn't she join her group and get inside one of their taxis? Was she under the influence of something that night, as some have stated, or was this her natural behavior known to her friends, hence no need to stop her from going with strangers?
Hey FrouFrou...I'm just killing time waiting for some real news. Wat's up witchoo?
BUT. BUT.... I thought they only received CNN on the island.
Will actually, I was as much responding to your statement that she was "in knots". I don't see that at all. I see bad questions. And...NG trying to have us infer something that wasn't there.
[What is bad about this follow up question? "So when you saw him later in the evening with Natalee, what were they doing?"] >> Prior to this where was it ever established that she SAW them later that night? It wasn't. Why didn't she ask "Did you see them later that night?" But, no she didn't ask that. Now you have a kid saying she saw them dancing and then the very next question is about what they were doing later in the night which she could not answer because she doesn't know. NG asked the question as though based on her previous answer, she should have known what they were doing later. Bad questions. Bad style. Nothing of value came from that interview.
I've asked myself why they didn't look out for her better. I'm sure they feel bad about it and that has much to do with the stammering and stuttering.
Consider that she may have been acting more wild than they say, and that they (not thinking she could've been drugged) were turned off by her new, louder, wilder self.
Also, they were leaving by the droves and it was only a matter of seconds when NH was put in the car. Yes, I said put. I believe she went back inside C&Cs and was forcibly put in the car.
I agree too many people have not been questioned. ALE is sitting on their clogs waiting for ppl to 'come forward.'
And waiting for Sept 4th to come.
*****There needs to be massive change on an international level in how we handle these situations. If a person is suspect enough to be arrested, it should be understood that sodium pentathol will be used until all investigatory questions are answered to the complete satisfaction of the LE*****
Here's the Grrrrrreta/Byrd/McVay interview:

I don't have a clue how to do that and don't have a pic on hm. I suspect if you did a google image search, you would find one.
I have to agree. It's one of the things I don't like about NG. That and a kind of sharpness to her features. I sorta glad we can't really see her teeth...
You think Natalee was back at the hotel?
How bout joranus?
jurinal
I don't know about that. Their dignity and whether it is "shattered" or not by "what they did" is not really apparent.
What I was saying is that are under no obligation to talk to the national press about anything.
I think you are assuming they did "shameful" things. I dont' know if that is so. Drinking and dancing are sort of what teenagers do and I don't think they are ashamed of it.
