Oh there is a real problem with this. So we are to believe that Natalee pushed Joran away two times and on the third time he hit her and then later she got into a cab with him to take her back to the hotel and as she was leaving she yelled, "Aruba" from the taxi? What happened to the testimony from the friend who said Joran was not interested in anything other than gambling and that Natalee had to introduce herself to him?
"We've heard that Natalee's very close friends were not on the trip. If that's the case - she probably wasn't REALLY tight with anyone person or group on the trip. I also think that is what made her vulnerable."

This could be the reason why she did not leave with the other girls upon the closing of C & C. The other girls would get into taxis in groups, but it seems that Nat was not part of any groups that night/morning. I have asked myself this question: Why didn't the other girls attempt to get Nat to go with them at the Hilton? The reason could be many. Perhaps the girls were not gregarious toward Nat even before the trip and that eve were jealous of her. Moreover, the fact that some of the chaperons were the parents of some of the students did not help Nat to be in the in-group as these parents were mainly interest in supervising their owns children.
You're also right about the photo at the beach. She is posing with the other girls, but it does not appear they're tight friends.
In summary, it appears that 1. Nat did not have cordial relations with the other girls; 2. Nat was not "in the loop"; and, 3. the other girls were jealous of the boys paying too much attention to Nat. Envy may have also played in part in it.

Thats why at least 2 of the other 3 in that beach photo are also in many other photos taken in aruba, AS WELL AS most of the home videos that have been on the tube for 2 weeks now.
Quite an assumption you have made of your own interpretation of a single photo......geez, look at any photo album and see what nonsense you can float about almost any photo based upon the specific millisecond that the shutter un the camera opened.
All I can say at this point is that the truth will eventually set someone free. Who I don't know at this point.
They were all up all night from what I read, some were on the beach at 5 am, or by the pool. And maybe they did notice but didn't think it was worrisome,,maybe she was thought to be elsewhere or maybe they thought she was out all night. I don't think kids police each other and expect regularity in routine like we do. Heck, if I were traveling with friends and they weren't in bed at 10 pm I would call the cops. These kids were on a five day party, up till all hours, in and out of each other's rooms.
They use those for boat tie ups out in the water,,at dive sites. Why it was there I don't know but they are common on dive islands.
The in and out of each others rooms could possibly explain male DNA on her toothbrush.
I don't know if it is established that the phone call was from Natalee yet.
it was said at the time that it had been an anchor for a larger boat that could not be beached or docked, and that its buoy (to which the boat had tied to) had been removed when the boat went elsewhere. Another boat which moors in this fashion in aruba is the party boat the DJ worked on....a smaller boat was used to ferry passengers etc to the deeper mooring larger boats require. The barrel anchor is totally unrelated.

It is horrible to be a bystander at a crime like this. One time during the OJ trial we were talking on FR about what the cops would infer fromm coming into our houses at that very mmoment. We all had suspicious things. I had a butcher knife on my book case and it looked like I was plotting to kill someone.
These teens had been on a five day celebratory party without close watching, some for the first time. In a country with rum and dancing and sun and all kinds of teenage heaven. No doubt they have some secrets, some things they don't want to tell the world.
But it is just juicy stuff as someone posted, probably irrelevant to the crime and certainly not criminal. Whether there are seeds of proof of what happened I don't know.
But I don't fault them for not letting it all spill out on national tv. They have dignity in their refusal to do that.

Regardless of where the supposed hitting incident happened, she still got into a car with him after the fact, irrelevent of whether she believed it was a taxi or not.

Me neither. If the girl(s) had such ill-will toward Natalee they've had plenty of chances to throw out all kinds of negative imagery about her. Of course, if you believe the DJ (Yusa?) every southern girl who goes to Aruba is a closet slut...riiiggghhht.
