Has anyone seen any polls?
I think you're being too harsh on Schmidt. She made a big mistake on the tax vote, but you can't judge her entire record on the basis of that alone. She's conservative on virtually everything else.
Oh, did he fight in Iraq? I heard he was a desk jockey. I think he planned this as part of his political resume, and apparently it worked. We can expect more of these pro-gay-marriage, pro-abortion, pro-higher taxes "warriors" to run in the future.
Also, the GOP in Ohio has some very serious problems (specifically a RINO problem, plus political scandals). Republicans win when they act like Republicans, not RINOs. I was worried that it would be much closer than it needs to be. But a win is still a win. And hopefully the GOP will draw the right lessons.
why have there been no updates in 45 minutes?
Ok, I'll concede that . . .
If they use punch cards, the humidy swells them up and they jam in the reader. I built a few of these for Riverside County in 1980.
Don't they have air conditioning there?
In about 20 CD's in the nation north of the Mason Dixon line that would be true. That is how horrible this election was.
no way Warner has the stones to run against Allen. his pres. dream would be DOA.
""Do you think that happened?""
"No. Don't assume voters are dumb asses. They liked the guy, liked a guy who fought in Iraq but was unhappy with Bush's conduct of the war, and wanted to send a message."
Some voters are dumb asses, but not all, you're right. Is there really such discontent with the war in Batavia? The major did cut an impressive figure, I'll not deny.
Do you have a link to election returns, preferrably one without adobe acrobat, which ties my sorry slow computer in knots?
Not such a bad bet, imho, as Hillary is overplaying her hand a bit too early.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
BUMP for morning.
This is going to almost guarantee a hand recount. Mark my word.
Correction- Barone
So 62 million wasnt enough for you?
Jean Schmidt (R) 49,681 50%
Paul Hackett (D) 48,811 50%
Some precincts still are garages with the door open all day. Don't know if that is the case here, but yeah the ballots could get sticky, with not just the humidity, but the sweaty people holding onto them.
bump
Air conditioning doesn't help with humidity...
I would suspect that if it was Cuyahoga or Franklin cty's but no worries in Clermont.
