Why oh why did Bush support this clown when he could have supported the far superior Toomey? Specter is like Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown.

where in the Constitution does it say the Federal government should tax us so it can promote ANYTHING about contraception?"

It's part of Scottish law.

Specter needs a job. Why do they keep re-electing this spook? Argghhhh. As if there aren't other things of importance that need to be dealt with.

Okay, so what's Sen. Specter's personal interest in getting teenagers to have sex?

Maybe we should ask his good friend and client Ira Einhorn...

Does anyone have information concerning the last time Arlen Specter had a medical examination?

From every indications this guy is has ceased to exist. 'E's not pinin'! 'E's passed on! This Senator is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker!

'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed 'im to the podium 'e'd be pushing up the daisies!

'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig! 'E's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!!

Thanks Monty Python, I needed that!

Scottish law? Very interesting. To quote Benny Hill, "Learning all the time."

...after opponents complained that the site is biased in favor of teaching abstinence over contraception.

From Merriam-Webster, contraception: deliberate prevention of conception or impregnation

Seems to define abstinence as well. Their complaints are unfounded and should not cost the taxpayers for unnecessary investigations.

Hmmm . . . bias toward abstinence, eh? Since abstinence is the only "contraceptive" that works 100% of the time, I think the Senator mistakes facts for bias.

Arlen Spector is certifiable.

Waxman is acting true to form - challenging any actions by the governmnet that even REMOTELY smack of Judaeo-Christian morality.

The way to destroy a society is to destroy its value system - and Bolsheviks like Waxman understand this.

I'm probably just being cranky, but where in the Constitution does it say the Federal government should tax us so it can promote ANYTHING about contraception?

All in all, looks like the taxpayers are the ones screwed here so to speak.

Sadly, I was thinking the same thing as his motivation.

opponents complained that the site is biased in favor of teaching abstinence over contraception.

What in the name of heaven is wrong with that. Do they think it's a good idea for teens to have sex? This is not "bias". This is common sense.

Aren't you sorry you didn't vote for Jim Clymer in Novemeber (after Toomey lost the primary)?

Specter is a clymer.

Aha! Thanks for clearing that up. (Note to self: Waxman is the pedophile; Specter is the cannibal.)

While condoms aren't perfect, they are the only method of contraception that can help reduce the risk of STDs. Other methods of contraception like birth control pills, shots and patches do not reduce the risk of STDs. Tell your son or daughter that the best way to avoid getting an STD is for them not to have vaginal, oral, or anal sex until they are in a mutually faithful, monogamous relationship, preferably marriage.

Oh the horrors!!!!! What kind of kook would come up with that advice?

Rick Santorum is such a horse's ass for supporting this scumbag RAT. His pathetic poll numbers vs. Casey reflect the base's disgust with him. What a grand Senator Pat Toomey would have made.
