Yeah, he's a known criminal, so the RATS want to give him a sensitive job. Typical RAT treason.

C'mon Carl, what the hell kind of headline is that? The pubbies are in charge. A RAT can't "head" any committee.

Of course I'm sure Botox wishes Alcee could head the committee. Ain't gonna happen, thankfully.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi wants Florida Congressman Alcee Hastings, who was impeached as a federal judge in 1989, to be vice chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Time magazine's Joe Klein reported on Sunday.

I thought felony convictions precluded one from having a security clearance. A requirement, one would think, for membership on that commitee..

The Florida Democrat, an African-American, blamed "institutional racism" for the charges lodged against him.

Hmmm... is that anything like a "High-tech Lynching?"

Shouldn't intelligence be a prerequisite to serve on an intelligence committee?

No, but perjury and obstruction convictions should.

I guess Alcee wasn't in the news. We could make fun of Alfre, too.

Hastings has been a frequent interviewee on Fox News. He is nuttier than Aunt Hilda's Christmas fruitcake. I thought this was "Scrappleface" when I saw the topic header. Pelosi's doctor needs to lower her Xanax dosage.

Pretty much what I was thinking. Only an incredibly stupid person such as Pelosi would want an incredibly stupid person such as Hastings in charge of anything. I don't understand why someone who was impeached should ever be allowed in public office again. It's a pity that Hastings has just enough low-IQ'd voters in his district to keep him in office. I feel sorry for the rest of his constituents and certainly wish he didn't represent anything or anyone in my state.

Why fight Iraq? We should be waging war against the RATs who are waging war against America.

"Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic leader, wants to dump Jane Harman

If this was truly as it seems, it wouldn't be made public by the liberals themselves. I think they are shocked and delighted that they have this person in such a trusted position and a perception that the left wants to replace her would increase her credibility.
