The Pentagon plans to set up a task force of senior U.S. and Iraqi officials that will set conditions for withdrawing substantial numbers of American troops from Iraq next year, U.S. officials said yesterday.
Up to this point, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld has said he would make such an important decision based on recommendations from his two main commanders in the region, Gen. John Abizaid of U.S. Central Command and Gen. George Casey Jr., who runs operations in Iraq. He will also consult with Gen. Richard B. Myers, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

hehe,I guess ole tex has had enough!:) Or the Mods had enough of him. He's probably setting up his DU account as we speak. His negative outlook should be much more well-received there.
Thank you for your kind comments. ;-)
And please thank your nephew for me.

"Iran will have to play the first deadly move, only then will we reciprocate." I'm not so sure. We've got our troops on the ground to the North, South (on ships), East, and West of Iran right now.
Perhaps we'll just start with a simple blockade. I doubt that we've been filling up our Strategic Petroleum Reserve for nothing, after all.
Lets see if the students can crack the Mullahs once we turn up the heat over there.

It would be a huge blunder if we attacked first. No way will DoD count on a popular revolt to bolster our forces in toppling a regime. Everybody has a stake in Iran and once we are deep in it, North Korea will come front burner.
