Okay, thanks, so no one was in jail the first week.

Nobody except Beth and the "Alabama posse" (isn't that the term that was thrown around?) were after J at first.

Not the polis. They were probably busy figuring out how NOT to involve J.

J and P had time to take care of business.

Like the ocean, where they found towels, bathers,
undies, shoes, etc.

Landfills have all kinds of articles in them as
well.

I think it's a little weird these witnesses are coming forward with such detailed information! I know they were supposedly scared.. but sheesh.. right down to the red jeep watching...

This is what $1 million bucks will do for one's memory.

Just thinking out loud here but suppose Joran and the Kalpoes didn't kill Natalee? Suppose they decided to go to a "party" where the gamblers were "rolling". Roll being another term for doing X. Joran, playing the big gambling man, wants to show off his American girl. Suppose someone else there decides Joran isn't man enough for a blond, blue-eyed American girl. This someone relieves Joran of Natalee. Joran objects and gets a nice black eye for trying. He knows he's in over his head, he and the brothers leave, call Dad, who meets them by the Racquet Club. Dad makes a couple of withdrawal in an attempt to buy her back, but can't withdraw enough to satisfy this guy.

The next day Joran tries to remain normal. Dad tries to negotiate to get her back. That night Joran and Deepak go back to the guy to try to get her back, but is interrupted by a call from Dad saying the police and Natalee's family are there. He returns home, but can't tell the truth because the gamblers will come after him and his family. Paulus knows this too and tells Joran to say nothing. They make up a story about the HI and the two guards are suspected. (bad move, but everything has been a bad move so far).

Maybe the gamblers were at the Allegro in the casino earlier, but I think they were staying at the Wyndham. I think Natalee was at the Wyndham. Could be that's why he was there that night, to try to get her back.

Where is she now? Did they keep her and ship her off to some other country? Did the heat come down to fast so they killed her and left here for the 3 amigos to bury with a reminder to keep their mouths shut?

bolta_lightnin, Am I close??

Just my way of trying to make any kind of sense of this...I don't hold to any one theory.

Nobody's getting a million bucks, not unless N comes back alive to her family.

But $100,000 is still a lot for information leading to her body.

Governor signs resolution for study of open records issue

The Associated Press

July 29. 2005 6:40PM

Alabama is going to get a commission that will study how to make it easier for the public to obtain access to public records.

On Friday, Gov. Bob Riley's office announched he had signed a resolution that the Legislature passed in its special session to create the 29-member commission.

The resolution says there is currently no uniform process for members of the public or the news media to request public records.

The sponsor, Rep. Blaine Galliher, D-Gadsden, said the commission would recommend a uniform policy for all state and local agencies to use in making public records available.

He said the commission's recommendations would be turned into a proposed bill to be considered by the Legislature next year.

Galliher was the House sponsor of the state's new open meetings law that passed the Legislature earlier this year. He said getting an open records law will be "the second step in the process of opening up government."

Riley also signed: a resolution urging Congress to open an investigation of Natalee Holloway's disappearance in Aruba.

-legislation that will allow state officials and state employees to get reimbursed for actual expenses rather than getting the regular state per diem of $50 per day when attending some major conventions in the state. The Legislature passed the law because the annual meeting of the Southern Legislative Conference starts Saturday in Mobile.

Judge: Joran Van der Sloot Can Be Questioned By FBI

I'd like to see him interrogated by Jack Bauer.

" Landfills have all kinds of articles in them as
well."

That's very true. But the impression I got while listening to the ES guy last night, was that these things weren't just typical landfill junk. He said the items confirmed what the witness had previously told them. However, who knows. There have been so many roads gone down before, which lead to a dead end.

This is what $1 million bucks will do for one's memory.

Bingo!

And the $100,000 USD's is nothing to sneeze at, either, for info.

And just in case, ONE witness happens to point searchers in the right direction (unbeknownst to said witness.) BINGO!! they get the bucks!

If any of those articles matched anything
belonging to NH, I'd place some credence
in the landfill.

Brace yourself for more "dead ends,

He was there on the Wednesday after Natalee disappeared, at 4:30 in the afternoon.

This would have been June 1st.
When was Beth's visit to the VDS home...when Paulus was sweating bullets?
