All of those Supermarionation shows were cool.

Speaking of spotting the props, the book "The Art of Start Trek" (I think that is the title) details the interesting items that were used for props and costume details. Look carefully at the belt buckles on Klingons in original Trek; they are cradboard covered with bubblewrap!

"Star Trek" never had a huge budget to begin with, AAC.

Lots of "Cheapness" if you look closely. Mc Coy's first Tricorder hand held Sensor was actually a Salt Shaker from the Studio Commissary.

It was also one of the first shows to use Velcro in place of buttons.
