Paul Krugman is a vivid illustration of what happens to individuals who have a first-rate ego but a third-rate mind.
Not to mention the Terri threads, the crevo threads, and the War on Drugs threads.
You've obviously not received your Super Double Secret FReeper Decoder Ring.
I have mine. Yet every message decodes into "Drink More Ovaltine".
Jack.
Isn't that what Socialists call a "40 Year Plan"?
Jack.
In modern America almost every problem is one created by liberal ideas.
Think about it, the health care "crisis" is really only a crisis because the government has so hampered market forces from acting on health costs. Allow insurers and providers to innovate and simplify and prices will drop.
Social security is simply a program almost totally devoid of any economic sense. Invest money for a lifetime to recieve little or no interest? Yeah, good idea.
The education "crisis" is created by a de facto government monopoly on control of schools. Regulating class size, paying teachers by seniority not skill and attracting the very worst college students to study teaching all exacerbate the problem.
The last thing the country needs is more liberal "ideas".
Top 5% pay 53.25% of all income taxes (Down from 2000 figure: 56.47%).
The top 10% pay 64.89% (Down from 2000 figure: 67.33%).
The top 25% pay 82.9% (Down from 2000 figure: 84.01%).
The top 50% pay 96.03% (Down from 2000 figure: 96.09%).
The bottom 50%? They pay a paltry 3.97% of all income taxes.
Aw .... SURE they do ...... it's called 'Dim-o-cratic Underground'.[/sarcasm]
Good post.
Interesting article penned by Perlstine. Essentially, he's suggesting that Democrats go "poetic" or "classic" -- that that's the draw for President Bush by his supporters. The heartstring thing.
Your post points are right on target.
I'm not falling for this "public agenda" piece whatsoever. It's.. too contrived and obviously off target in numerous places. Guess the real message was in the handouts.
Bottomline, and I have to quote Rush here: Dems are still up to: How can we fool 'em today strategies. It's what they do. And therefore, believe everyone plays that way too.
Whoops, I lost my tinfoil tiara. I haven't received the latest set of marching orders, so I walk around mumbling to myself...
"The white zone is for loading and unloading only!."
Umm.........are we saying that the Dems actually listen to this idiot??????
You have GOT to be kidding me........
Oh.....oh.......almost forgot......
Hey Jim.......what are my marching orders for today???? Tell me please please please.......I'm adrift without your guidance, ya see...........
What am I, chopped liver??
Sssssssshhhhhhhh.............stop giving away all our secrets, will ya????
Next thing ya know, you'll be divulging the secret handsha............ummm..............forget that.....never said it...........Hey, how 'bout them Packers????
Love the screen name. Just watched that last evening; makes me laugh every time. :)
The question to put to even the stupidest voter: Do you want politicians to be in charge of your health care?
What are my orders? What are my orders??
Shall we march today in MD and Washington DC?
The only marching orders I get are suspensions. ;-)
We've been meaning to get around to you, sorry we're late. Here's your orders: support your family, your values, your country and your constitution. Believe in yourself, trust what's right, and have fun.
Life is good.
Here's one of the Dems "complicated policy options": "if we rob Peter to pay Paul, we can count on Paul's support". Past stealing, (or taking) money from one group (middle class Americans) and giving it to another group (democrats) they've got nothing.
