I just read the plot of this new show and watched the three clips on the site.
Hollywierd has made the first woman President a Republican! But,of course, the evil Republican Party doesn't want her to take the job because SHE IS A WOMAN! You see she was VP when the Pres dies, but the evil Republican politicos want her to step down so Donald Southerland (M.A.S.H.), the whitest old guy imagineable, can have the job.
Meanwhile, Davis is the greatest mom in the world with three kids and just wants to be taken seriously.
In the immortal words of Elvis, thank you verrah much :)
They won't be able to help themselves, regardless of the present "disclaimers."
I sure hope so!!
I can't stand to watch her. She's got teeth bigger than any horse. She rivals horse mouth Julia Roberts.
This ought to last about 2 weeks.
ooooh, Six Degrees of Hitlery!
They's some serious Ozarks inbreedin goin on round here!
You know, I wonder who's bankrolling this?
I was part of the test audience for this show about 2 years ago. Her husband was a private detective or cop (don't remember exactly). I don't know if they changed it.
MARC FRYDMAN, executive producer
Marc Frydman and his producing partner, writer-director Rod Lurie, are executive-producing the drama "Commander In Chief" for Touchstone Television and ABC as part of an overall multi-year deal between the studio and their company, Battle Plan Productions...The series was given a 13-episode commitment and aired on ABC in the fall of 2003, making Frydman the first French executive producer of a major network television series. The drama was called the "best new show of the year" by the Associated Press and the Miami Herald.
Frydman began his career as part of the founding team that created the French pay TV channel, "Canal +," where he eventually became vice president of Feature Film Co-productions. In 1992, when Canal + created Hexagon Films, Frydman became Hexagon's president of Film Production. During his time at Hexagon, he produced "Boiling Point" with Wesley Snipes, "Stargate" with Kurt Russell, and "Murder in the First" with Christian Slater, Kevin Bacon and Gary Oldman.
After "Murder in the First", Frydman formed Battle Plan Productions and produced "Deterrence" and "The Contender" - both written and directed by Lurie. "The Contender," starring Gary Oldman, Joan Allen, Jeff Bridges and Christian Slater, was released by DreamWorks and garnered two Academy Award nominations and two Golden Globe nominations. Frydman also executive-produced "Sex Monster," directed by Mike Binder, "Nil by Mouth," directed by Gary Oldman (Official Selection, Cannes 1997), "Scenes of the Crime," with French director Dominique Forma, and Lurie's short film "The Nazi" (Official Selection, 2003 Sundance Film Festival).
Mon Dieu! The guy's a Frog!

"Battle Plan Productions"?! Pass the tinfoil hats, I got mine!
You beat me too it... lol
But they made her a republican so they could claim not though...
Precisely correct. I think it will be canned in a few months because it will be so offensive to Republicans and conservative independents. Hollywood's political perspective is so far to the left that even a show they consider to be politically centrist is offensive to Republicans because of the many snide and condescending attacks on conservatives within the show.
It's kind of a shame because Geena Davis is an appealing actress, but the plot and script is going to doom this show to a leftist audience only, which means it will be gone in three months. Gen X is more conservative than the Baby Boom generation and Gen X is a big part of the key 18-49 year old ratings group. This show is DOOMED, absolutely DOOMED before its first showing.
"After seeing the promos a few times..this program could very well cost Hillary the WH..ya think that Rove is behind it?"
I definitely agree that this is going to hurt Hillary. Remember, Hillary is no Geena Davis. Once Hollyweird realizes this they will pull the plug on it.
That's probably being charitable. Based on the previews it will start out like a fish flopping on the beach.
