Thank God for those who are willing to speak the truth and aren't worried about being a politically correct church.

Some of the anti-Islam signage has simply been trashy, but this is making a clear theological statement, and is appropriate, in my opinion.

Just to get this on the record:
Before this is all over, he is going to be apologizing for the sign.
It will probably happen within 5 days, 2 weeks tops.

The sign and message at the First Conservative Baptist Church at 12021 St. Augustine Road in Mandarin. The church's pastor said he has studied Islam thoroughly.

Oddly, the last time I saw a "White Power" bumper sticker was in Jacksonville.

Imam Zaid Malik, spiritual leader of the Islamic Center of Northeast Florida in Jacksonville, said the sign is based on ignorance about Islam. The verse cited on the sign -- Surah 9:29 -- is taken out of context, Malik said.
Note the Imam's answer falls short. Dr. Jerry Vines and Dr. Ergun Caner challenged the Imams to show them where they were wrong in their statements a few years ago. The Imams can't refute them without denouncing Islam, hence no statement to Vines and Caner.

"You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free..." (unless you continue demanding that people ignore the truth in the name of touchy-feely-warm-and-fuzzy-can't-we-all-just-get-along political correctness, in which case you get what you deserve).

(15)I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! (16)So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Revelations 3:16-17 NIV
If you're not fired up and willing to be 100% for The Truth, God will spit you out in disgust. I am fortunate to have a Pastor that also believes 100% in the Word in the Bible and will not dilute it to suit societal mores. Praise God!

27 But bring here these enemies of mine, who did not want me to rule over them, and slaughter them in my presence.' "

words of Jesus in the parable.
In the end, even God solves the world's problems with a massive bloodshed. Just read the Revelation, and the prophets about the Day of the Lord.
A massive cleansing of the earth of all that offends Him is coming.

I'm surprised that this Church hasn't been siezed under the new Supreme Court approved "eminent domain" clause... and sold to some Arabic developer to build another Mosque on.
That'll teach 'em!

Free Speech at it's best. A gutsy statement for sure knowing it would bring down the liberal media on them like a hammer, but the sign is so true.
