Nope. Never did business with Mexico. However, I will let you know that every job I have had has been largely the result of international trade. Here's hoping the Asians keep buying airplanes!

Yep. Don't know anybody who's gotten rich in Mexico, and those I know who were "displaced" found other jobs.

As a matter of fact my business was effected by NAFTA. I own a healthcare recruiting company. Recruited Canadian physicians. NAFTA shut that door. Canadian physicans can no longer enter the US to work as practitioners, only educators. That's OK though, I just recruit more physicians from Pakistan and India.

NAFTA rules allow trucks to deliver goods from Mexico or an international port to a specific U.S. location, then return to Mexico

One study predicted that Mexican trucks can add 50 tons per day of smog-forming emissions -- more than pollution generated by the region's 350 biggest industrial sources combined. Southern California air quality regulators warned that smog could get worse because of a sharp increase in the number of polluting diesel engines on the freeways.

About 12 percent of Mexican trucks fail the tailpipe visibility test, compared with 6 percent of California trucks

This makes it that much more difficult for California communities to meet federally mandated air quality standards. e.g mor taxes for the legal residents.

More taxes, more traffic conjestion and more smog......

actually, I know many people affected directly by NAFTA.
Their jobs just left for Mexico this last Monday...hehe.

The folks in my home town simply can't build radiators for Ford Motor at 28 cents an hour.
