CAFTA Can Be Stopped! Please Keep the Pressure on Your Rep!

"So far, administration officials concede they still do not have the votes to pass CAFTA in the House."
                                                                                               --- Washington Post, July 21, 2005

This is it! Our nation's independence and our personal freedom hang in the balance.

So it's come to this. Many of you have it in your power to make the difference in this critically important CAFTA vote.

Let's win this one for ourselves and our families!

"Hmmmm...not a single word debunking the "loss of sovereignty" myth."

I noticed that also.

Gee ... ya think it's a subversive plot and we'll all become citizens of the Dominican Republic next week?

Nope... I'm worried about waking up and discovering the U.N. has voted to tax U.S. citizens directly.

America’s Descent Into the Third World

* * * *

Theodore Roosevelt
"The President is merely the most important among a large number of public servants. He should be supported or opposed exactly to the degree which is warranted by his good conduct or bad conduct, his efficiency or inefficiency in rendering loyal, able, and disinterested service to the Nation as a whole. Therefore it is absolutely necessary that there should be full liberty to tell the truth about his acts, and this means that it is exactly necessary to blame him when he does wrong as to praise him when he does right. Any other attitude in an American citizen is both base and servile. To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else."

"Roosevelt in the Kansas City Star", 149 May 7, 1918

No, merely the next step in a long series of small incremental steps designed to do away with the nation-state and erase borders.

I used to laugh at this stuff.

I no longer find it amusing.

Okay.

I'm worried that John Bolton won't be appointed U.S. Ambassador to the un when the Congress adjourns, so I reckon we're even.

Oh please, posting this in response to my statement is the same sort of Dim logic that says your criticism is automatically right and worthy because it's in opposition to 'the man' or whatever. That's not a reason.

And besides, it wasn't so much praising Bush, as it was bashing Buchannan, who I think is a complete and utter moron.

BINGO.

This is the white elephant nobody wants to talk about. People need to wake up. This agreement is for the benefit of third world nations & multinational corporations. Period.

Somehow it'll all be our fault for not towing the party line that brought them to where they will end up.

I'm suggesting your tax cut won't be worth the paper it is written on if the money backing it up is worthless.

I don't think you understand economics. Taxes are part of fiscal policy. The value of money is determined solely by monetary policy. There is nothing a tax can do to alter the value of a dollar.

I agrre that many things are no laughing matter, any longer.

The facts are that the inept Congress, elected to work for "we the people", are and have been, working for themselves.

We, for example, are at war and the enemy Democrat Party is aiding and abetting our enemies. Bear in mind that over 60,000,000 votes were cast for a enemy of the United States. Namely J.Effin Kerry.

You and others may worry about our sovereignty, and rightfully so, but I worry about our very survival.
