The start of a defeat for the ACLU scum. It is not over yet, but we have to keep fighting.

Will some federal judge overturn the vote?

I bet the ACLU lost because they didn't "get their message out" or "energize their base" enough. [sarc]

But ACLU attorney James McElroy insists the vote is meaningless.
"It still doesn't mean a damn thing," he said, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. "Voters should have never voted on it. It's a waste of taxpayers' money."
So, I guess the voters get no say in how they spend their own tax money? Fascist state apologist alert!

Regardless of the merit of lack thereof in their cases, I think it no coincidence that it is a communist organization is doing all it can to remove all traces religion from daily life.

Will some federal judge overturn the vote? Sooner or later the People will prevail. This cross in no way represents an "Establishment of a state religion", and judges are smart enough to know it. Now if the people will just realize their power?

Let's hope this trend to defeat the ACLU extends to all parts of the country. The ACLU is evil.

I just heard this on the nooz.
They will go back to court, there are enough rat judges out there that they will eventually get lucky.
In any case, this is good news, even if the referendum is eventually overturned. Nothing energizes people like winning a poll and having it summarily thrown out by a communist judge...
Well, I used to think like that when I was younger anyhow.

This is the good part of Tuesday's election. Donna Frye getting 43% of the vote makes me even happier that I have left my home town forever. Unreal to think of that witch as the probable next mayor.

The ACLU will take it to court on the grounds that the voters didn't make the right choice.

It would have been a lot harder for her to get that much of the vote had the supposedly reputable politicians before her not managed to keep getting indicted.

I used to credit the fact that some arrogant scum like this could walk down the street and not get lynched on the self control of the American people. I'm starting to credit it more to apathy.

Before the election, they got some judge to rule that the vote had to pass by 2/3rds or it would lose. The cross actually got 3/4th of the vote.

Californian voters, if serious about preserving the right to have Christian symbols in the square, will have to recognize the party attempting to take them away and vote against or fund their own primary challengers that will not embrace the Hard Left. They have one of two choices, but voting the current Dem establishment to office is allowing this to occur. Until they do that, these people are empowered.
But it IS a good sign the vote is as it was, I don't think anyone doubts where the country stands on this across the board, and a judge tossing out their will is NOT going to go over well.
