For any Boston Sox Fan Freepers (and I know there are some)please pray for Matt Clement. If you are watching the game, he was just incredibly hit by a hit ball in the head on the mound. He lied on the mound for at least five minutes, motionless. The most shocking moment I have seen in sports. Please pray
most likely Bayfront Medical Center ... it's just a few blocks from the Trop.
LOL - relax, sister. It was a joke.
NESN made me do it,, how bout that Johnny "my main man" Damen catch to send it to extras?
and then Johnny hits the homer right after,,
Happy to disappoint you Senator...Sox Tied it up in the ninth, just went ahead on a Damon homer in the tenth.
heh
Damon had ended the ninth with a terrific catch...
Good news - the boy has a good hard head
I join in prayer for his full recovery and return to perfect health!
Good news is right, that was really scary.
Sox seemed to come back to life, me too, after the word came
out that Matt was alright.
Seems like all the fans in Tampa are Sox fans?
Loud cheering.
Thankfully, it didn't look like it hit him in the temple (a vulnerable area), but slightly behind the ear, which, on my skull at least, feels pretty solid.
Yeah I know, it hurts like hell, and he's gonna have headaches for a while, as I recently got a blind-sided whack on different thick part of my skull (my Ma quit smacking us little terrors after hurting her hands on my skull).
If the CAT scan says he's OK, he'll be back to pitch another day.
They also said he didn't lose consciousness, which is a good thing.
I think and hope he's going to be OK.
Damon just caught a great one up on the wall in extra innings to keep us in the game.
backatcha...
I thought I heard Trot Nixon was injured or pulled a muscle?
LOL and to you. (You'll like my reply).
just reported on the game..Trort has a "strained oblique"
Pulled muscle I guess?
This night was lookin pretty bad there for a while.
Hope Clement really is okay.
Man that was scary.
Hey, I see Schilling pitching. What's he doing in the bullpen?
He was a good pitcher for the Chicago Cubs. I was a fan of him. Prayers sent.
Yeah, looked like he just swung too hard, or had gotten cold. Don't know all the muscle names, but whatever that torso twister muscle is.
CT Scan was negative (ESPN)
THE RED SOX WIN!
coming in...
